Have used this fantastic farm & farm shop for many years. Best quality free range meat and poultry I’ve ever had. Excellent deli range, amazing sausages, burgers, bacon, free range eggs and many other high quality products in the shop to accompany them and unbelievable raspberry brownies that I shouldn’t. Tremendously helpful and friendly staff. Deliveries to home and Farmers Market stall. Hugely enjoyable open days and now a new cafe with lots of outside seating overlooking the fields.
How can I not give five out five ?

AUGUST 2023
Visited their recent open day in August
Went with a young friend of ours and her 2 yr old daughter. Absolutely amazing free day out. It’s a real credit to Anna and John Franklin that they and their amazing staff can lay on this free treat and the huge amount of hard work that will have gone into it. All the fun of the farm, hayrides, animals to pet, tastings, great lunch at their cafe, local craft stalls, farm machinery to clamber on and great produce from the shop.
Guess it must be the best free day out for families with children that there is.

This place does great meat cut to your request, they always have a great range available, prices are a little higher than the supermarkets but when you cook it and eat it you will never want supermarket meat again.
They have a cheese counter and a selection of sauces and other things to go with what they sell.
They have a great restaurant on site, they do fantastic breakfasts and other meals or just tea if you don't want to eat.
They do run a loyalty card we use it and then get a discount that we tend to use for our Christmas meats.
They do have on site usable restroom behind in a portacabin it really needs work.
There's plenty of parking but party on a field on busy days and it can get muddy.

Top quality produce, friendly service, lots of parking, great for children (farm animals). Outside and inside seating areas. The diary cafe also does great food (onside and on entrance to the butcher counter) I recommend the English breakfast which is served all day. The meats are from the farm !!! After a spot of lunch we grabbed some amazing meat from the butcher section.

Heard so many good reports about this cafe especially when attached to such a fine butchers my neighbour and I decided to give it a go. Boy were we disappointed. Staff were very nice but very ineffective, the two ladies Couldn’t work the tills out, when asked for an extra portion ( Fried egg) they know how much to charge, my neighbour had to go up to the counter twice for cutlery. Food at best was mediocre for the price. Chips were greasy and a very small portion, both the ham and eggs were okay. The breakfast was rather dry and unappealing.
We had 2 of the thinnest slices of bread I’ve eaten in a long time. I guess for a country cafe I was hoping for door step style of bread.. my mistake!! Very limited choice of lunch menu. One reviewer say their prices are reasonable but £2.50 for a can of Diet Coke!! we must live in different worlds. Would I visit again- not for a long time I’m afraid to say.

Extensive selection of quality, local produce. Friendly welcome and the best scotch egg I’ve ever had! Veg and meat was great value for money, you can see the livestock and you’re supporting a fantastic local business.
