Super friendly staff and possibly the best fish and chips in the uk!

Two of us ordered the battered sausage meal and one the vegetable lasagne meal. My wife (Lasagne meal) asked if she could swap her side of peas for coleslaw. The sausage meal comes with chips and a choice of minted mushy peas, peas, beans, curry or gravy. I asked for minted peas, the daughter chose curry sauce.

If you look at my image of the menu, you will see the sausage is stated as 1ft long, if you look at my image of the meal, you will see it’s a standard sausage.

My wife’s meal arrived and we reminded the waitress it should have coleslaw. Then the two sausage meals arrived.

I queried the size with the waitress who said you need to state “Jumbo” this is a lie as nowhere does it state that on the menu meal. I reminded her of the missing coleslaw and we were told there is none left before walking off.

Nobody told us this at the start, my wife would have had peas if they did. When the bill arrived, there was an extra side charge of coleslaw. I challenged the price and they removed the coleslaw.

I’ve no idea if they try pulling this trick on everyone, I am sending my images and experience to trading standards, it’s a shame as the food they did serve tasted fine

I had Haddock and chips with minted mushy peas, the latter of which was a first for me and the batter is so good.
My partner had Cod and chips with a curry sauce which both of us thought was delicious.
All in all fantastic food and we will definitely be back, 5 stars are so mean when you deserve 10.

Exceptional place.
From the moment we walked in the service from a lady called Sally made you feel so welcome, she was warm, engaging & set the tone for a fantastic meal.
Fish & chips were delicious, curry sauce was the best I’ve ever had.
But truly exceptional service!

Definitely one of the best fish and chips in East Anglia. Large cod and minted mushy peas are must. Good selection of drinks. Great pudding options. Sometimes it is busy, be patient it's worth it. Friendly staff and excellent service. We've got free drinks because of delays. Cheers guys, much appreciated.

We visited Fishers as part of a day trip to Hunstanton. The service was excellent, from our server Benny, who was amazing and wonderful to talk to. The food was the best fish and chips we’ve ever had, 10/10 will return.

Not the greatest value 3 quid for chips and I think it was 8.75? For standard cod and £3 for a bottle of oasis ! The thinnest batter I have ever had u could see the fish through it should have taken it back really surely there must be better to be had in Hunstanton . To be fair it was cooked fresh but overall a disappointment
