I bought a Brighton sofa and chair from here just over 2 years ago. And I've been delighted with it.

The reason I'm posting a review now is because of the astounding customer service experience I've just had from them. I've never known anything like it, frankly.

Basically, I had an accident with my sofa 2 weeks ago. All my fault.

I'd grazed the back of my hand without realizing, and then with incredibly bad timing decided to vacuum my sofa, moving the cushions about to do so ! When done, only then did I notice the cut and also the blood marks I'd left on the material in a few places.

That all sponged off fine with some cold water. But I noticed I'd got some water on the black lining material the sofa cushions rest on, i.e. on the sofa itself.

I wiped those too, but it this time it seemed to leave white marks which just got worse the more I dabbed at them. It looked absolutely awful.

Devastated, I called in the next Saturday morning to ask about the possibility of paying for getting a repair done. To be clear - this was my mistake here. I wasn't sure what to expect - and most companies wouldn't want to know in this situation, even if it was repairable.

To my surprise and immense relief they offered to come out, collect the sofa, and replace the lining material. FREE OF CHARGE.

The sofa was picked up Monday morning this week, then delivered back this morning (Wednesday), They would have brought it back yesterday - but I had to be at work.

So yes, you do pay a premium for a good quality hand made sofa - but you are supporting a local company which has a just incredible level of aftercare, which I feel these days is almost unheard of.
