My partner and me went to this bookshop on our trip to Lewes and it had a great selection of all types of books, she even had first edition books there and most in a very good condition for those who like to collect them. the lady who runs the shop was very nice, helping us find what we needed and talking to us about the books we wanted. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely recommend if you're an avid book reader.

It was shut when I was there, but the character of the outside of the building is amazing.

I love this bookshop, visited over many many years. Steeped in atmosphere and wonderful selection of books, from every walk of life! Just as every srcond hand bookshop should be.... ? perhaps eccentric would better describe, the owner. Everyone has a story to tell ... tolerance.

Beautiful bookshop. A step back in history with a good selection of books. It would have been a four/five star review if it hadn’t been for the rude, unhelpful and unwelcoming shop assistant.

Shop is beautiful, sadly the woman who greeted me was exactly the opposite. Rude, unhelpful, obnoxious and completely uninterested in her job or helping people. This factor has been repeatedly pointed out in other online reviews.

I recently bought some books and found this lady extremely helpful. She responded to all my emails very promptly and even gave me some useful information and suggestions when I visited the shop. I look forward to going back many times in the future.
