Myself and my mam had a great time at Evie Black Occasion wear today. The customer service from Sandra was amazing! The shop is in a great location with ample parking. They have a large selection of outfits and we knew as soon as we walked in that we would find the perfect mother of the bride outfit today. I would 100% recommend trying this place for all of your occasion wear needs.

My wife and I went to the Evie Black shop in Coxhoe for the purpose of buying a Mother of the Bride outfit for our daughter’s wedding in December. The shop had come highly recommended by friends and quite rightly so as the choice of garments was superb and the service by Sharon was even better. She was so patient and helpful towards my wife who was reluctant to say the least as in her own words ‘ I don’t feel comfortable in posh outfits’ After several trying ons Sharon brought out a stunning three piece trouser suit which after trying it on brought a huge smile to my wife’s face. With a few alterations by Sharon’s friend she will look absolutely perfect for the Wedding. Highly recommend Evie Black and remember to book an appointment for Sharon’s personal service.

A successful visit to Evie Black to find Mother of the Bride and Grandmother of the Bride outfits! Sharon was a lovely lady who immediately put us at ease and encouraged us to try on as many outfits as we liked. There was so much choice and the outfits were beautiful. I was concerned before going about finding even one Mother of the Bride outfit I might like but, after trying on lots, narrowed it down to four possibilities. Sharon was extremely patient, encouraging me to re-try the outfits until a final choice was made. I was also very happy to have her guidance and expertise on coordinating shoes, bag and fascinator so came away with the whole outfit in one afternoon! Grandmother of the Bride also found her special outfit so the afternoon was a complete success!

My Mam bought a beautiful dress from this shop for her Granddaughters wedding taking place at the end of November, and received great service from the staff.
Sadly, due to a significant and sudden decline in her health (full details of which were shared with the owner), she won't be able to wear the dress at the wedding.
We were really disappointed, when trying to return the unworn dress to the shop, that they had no flexibility on their 'no returns' policy, which incidentally we only became aware of when we looked closer at the receipt a week after the purchase. The refusal also came via text, rather than a phone call, which was very impersonal.
We had hoped for some compassion under these circumstances, and we understand that the policy has been abused in the past, but a full inspection of the dress would have proved it is still in the condition it was when it left the shop.
We do appreciate how fragile small businesses can be, but really wish, in these circumstances, that a different approach could have been taken.

I was very stressed about getting my mother of the bride outfit, but from the moment I contacted Evie Black I felt comfortable. The choice of dresses was fantastic and Sandra went above and beyond to provide us with what was needed (my mum got her grandmother of the bride outfit too). I will recommend the shop to anyone who needs an outfit for their special occasion.

My grandma purchased a dress for my wedding from here. Sadly her lung cancer has progressed to a stage where she'll not be able to attend. Obviously we're heartbroken and the last thing we thought we'd have to think about is this dress, it's not been worn, never used, still with tags. Of course we wanted to return it as my grandma will need the funds back. My mam called to discuss a refund, was told the manager would call. Her phone rang for mere seconds before cutting off so I do think they didn't even want to talk over the phone as clearly ignoring the fact you're giving terrible customer service to an elderly lady with terminal cancer is easier to stomach via text than on call. The manager said they've had bad experiences before so can't refund, when we've clearly stated its never been worn and only just purchased. In short, they have refused to refund a terminally ill elderly lady, so if you want a semblance of compassion I'd go elsewhere.

Wow! My experience at Evie Black was excellent ! We arrived for a late night appointment which feels like being a celebrity. Lots of dresses , hats, bags and shoes, so we were able to get the entire outfit in one shop. Plenty of choice and styles, traditional and top of the latest fashion. Lots of good advice from Sharon and Charlotte. No rushing. Super quality items. No chance of being the same as someone else at your occasion! We were very impressed indeed and delighted at what we were able to buy. My outfit has to have some small adjustments so excuse the clips on the back of the dress.

I was very apprehensive to look for a mother of the groom dress, as I wasn't sure which style would suit me. However, from entering Evie Black's shop the two ladies couldn't have been friendlier. I was instantly put at ease. They listened to my preferences and also made suggestions. The changing area was lovely and the whole process was very relaxing. I was given shoes and fascinators to complete the look. I started with 8 dresses and narrowed it down to 2, and eventually picked the 'one'. My daughter and I loved the dress. A huge thank you to the lovely ladies! I didn't expect to find a dress so quickly (the 1st shop we went to) and to find the experience so stress free. I would highly recommend Evie Black's. A beautiful dress, a happy customer and excellent service!
