I agree with most of the reviews. THINK AGAIN, if E.ON Next pops up as an option when you are looking to change supplier.
They are very dishonest and seem interested in attempting to con customers out of money especially when your account with them has a credit balance.
I've recently just moved (from them) to a new supplier, and was looking to get my account with E.ON Next closed off, my account with them having a credit balance of £581.
Considering my electric and gas meters are smart meters, my new supplier doesn't need to provide a change of supply reading; but when I called, E.ON Next said that my new supplier must provide the change of supply reading before my account with them can be closed and refund issued.
So began my back and forth phone calls between E.ON Next and my new supplier - my new supplier saying it's being provided, and E.ON Next saying they haven't received it.
I kept this up to the point where my current supplier asked that I raise a complaint against them saying E.ON Next are deliberately holding on to my money, as they can and should have easily gotten my closing meter readings since I've got a smart meter. Thus, on my last call to E.ON Next, I made the above point, before they finally acquiesced, meaning all the while they had been fobbing me off to avoid refunding me.

*It's no wonder they were fined £14m last year.
STAY AWAY FROM E.ON NEXT!!!

Would give ZERO STARS IF I COULD!
Contacted us to pay £15 outstanding bill from over two and a half years ago and proceed to set up an account illegally with no authorisation and can’t get hold of anyone to resolve. DO NOT USE THEM! TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!!

Weeks ago, E.ON wrongfully charged me £610 instead of £63.10. They confirmed the error and promised it was resolved, yet they still took the full amount. Now, despite chasing them for my refund, I’ve had zero success. To make matters worse, their so-called "complaints handler," Maz, has been utterly useless and rude throughout the process. No help, no solution—just more frustration.

If you're considering E.ON, think again. Their billing is a disaster, and their customer service, especially Maz, is disgraceful. They’ll take your money, and then you're on your own. Stay far away!

This company agreed a payment with me back in feb for £70 per month (single person living on my own, didnt have the gas heating on at all last winter) but i noticed in august they had been taking 450pm from my bank and had increased this without telling me so i canceled my dd. No apology. I've been calling since to get this sorted with promises to call me back. They haven't. I get told something different every time i call, and they have now messed up my account, 'amending' all my meter readings telling me I now owe them over 2k. It has taken 2 days of calling again to be told to make manual payments via the app with threats of being charged late fees and they're sending my account for review which will take 6 to 8 weeks. Absolutely disgusting, staff seem to be inputting whatever data they want to con folk out of huge sums of money.

Although I moved to another energy provider in early October because of their poor service, they keep sending two bills every month. There has never been a contract between them and me. This is the worst company I have ever seen with poor customer service and a terrible billing system. I think I like ripping off their customers.

Criminals. Repeatedly tried to take £1000 from my account and actually did once. Had to go through the bank to get it back.
I left them months ago, closed the account and they're still fabricating bills!
Scum.
And if you use Trustpilot without publishing your name they will remove your negative review.

CRIMINALS AND LIARS. What they say over the phone cannot be trusted. Record every single conversation you have with them for evidence.
I spoke over the phone with them confirming that my account had been payed upto date and that the account told be closed as I had left the property. 6 months later I started recieving messages from a debt collection company.
EON had backdated my bills and decided that I owed them money from over a year ago. Did not tell me and passed my information onto a debt collection company. This has had a terrible effect on my credit rating and has literally changed my financial options with regards to credit.
THIS HAS BEEN SO FINANCIALLY DAMAGING FOR ME AND THROUGH NO FAULT OF MY OWN. As far as I knew the account had been closed for 6 months. SCAMMERS, CRIMINALS AND NOT TO BE TRUSTED.

Meter went told 2 weeks to fit new but never said power will not go off so new tenant waited lost £275.
Meter fitted and same day I put cash on to finish jobs before we swapped details to new tenant mentioning already lost link 12 times approx. New tenant left then meter said needs emergency all credit taken. We both spent over 3 hours back n forth to sort it being told the other needs to. I paid before taken over,my money was wrongly removed but no 1 there can put there mess right. Imagine all the profit from resetting meters. 24hrs still not right. COWBOYS ! But that's Eonnext
