Thank you to Lizzie for making a beautiful dress for my sister who was my maid of honor. We had visited many shops that sold bridesmaid dresses but there were non that seemed to fit or flatter her. I searched on the Internet and came across Lizzie’s website. After our first meeting I knew straight away she would be able to make the perfect dress, she is a lovely person who made us feel so at ease & welcome and I loved our little outings for each fitting. She truly made an amazing, unique design for my sister and I’ve attached some photos so you can see the beautiful results. I would recommend Lizzie without hesitation to any bride, or bridal party looking for something unique, that will fit you like a glove and an experience that you will actually enjoy!

Where do I even BEGIN to describe how amazing Lizzie and her team are?! When my now husband and I first got engaged, I had an idea in the back of my head that it would be cool to have a green wedding dress. Upon mentioning my idea to a few friends, it soon became apparent that this wasn't the 'done thing'. When I first fleetingly mentioned the idea upon meeting Lizzie at a wedding fair, my initial reaction was disappointment that I would have to conform to the norm and not have what I want......however, Lizzie's initial reaction made my fears disappear, her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree! From that moment on, I KNEW she had to make my wedding dress.

Visits to her little corner of an old mill (and later her beautiful shop in Wirksworth) followed and at every visit - of which there were A LOT, I was met with a cup of tea, gossip and fun. I must have been quite the pain in the bum client because, to be honest, other than green.....I had no idea what I wanted out of a wedding dress, but knew what I didn't like! Lizzie has had the most incredible ideas and all of my uncertainty, crazy ideas and random ramblings were met with patience, understanding, friendliness and an easy sense of humour....and the occasional much needed stern word!

My visits to see Lizzie were always fun and not only did she create me the most show stopping wedding dress EVER, she has become a valued friend.

On the morning of the wedding, Lizzie was an absolute JOY to have around, even going the extra mile to steam my bridesmaids dresses and helping dress my girls so as they looked flawless. Even when I had a flap, just as I was about to get into my dress, she was there with a tissue, soothing words and a hug and helped keep me calm and upbeat. I was blown away by the service that Lizzie provides, she was with me right up to the last second as I walked down the aisle.

I could not have been more grateful to her for making my wedding dress experience simply outstanding. It was a part of my wedding planning process that I was absolutely dreading, but Lizzie made it so easy and comfortable. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Lizzie and the rest of the team to anyone wanting a wedding (or occasion) dress. The service and value for money that she provides are simply on another level. Thank you so much!

I must give her a 5* review to Elizabeth Malcolm based on customer service alone. Her dresses were beautifully made and designed – you can see the love and care that goes into her work. Elizabeth’s whole manner, process and patience were greatly appreciated. I had rather dreaded further wedding dress shopping after a couple of bad experiences but visiting Elizabeth’s shop was an absolute delight. It was a particular pleasure to see a young, local woman who has done so well and is clearly so passionate about her work. Also, it is a total myth that “made to measure” bridal gowns are more expensive – I was actually really pleasantly surprised. They may look more expensive to start with but shops where you buy dresses “off the peg” often heap hundreds of pounds of alteration costs on to you – this is avoided when it’s made to measure from the start. When I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for, Elizabeth sketched some designs out for me entirely from scratch. They were amazing and she clearly is a talented dress designer. I’d definitely recommend you consider “made to measure” and, whilst I didn’t find “The One” for me on this occasion, I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Elizabeth Malcolm if you are shopping for bridal wear and wedding dresses.
