Was passing on our way out for a weekend away. Released we had forgotten a few things for the weekend, and had to pop in to get a few essentials to see us through. Nice store with friendly staff

They've removed in the past year:
Mac and Cheese ginsters,
Spinach ginsters,
Rustlers veggie burger,
Vegan sausage rolls,
Vegan slices,

You've also taken the only vegan sandwich option off of the meal deal.

Meanwhile you have 18 variations on the same dead animals lining your meal deals section. Please be more accepting of other dietary needs. (And include these in the actual DEAL of the meal deal.

For god's sake please stop removing vegetarian lunch options. It's infuriating

Staff are excellent, generally well stocked and a variety of products for every day life BUT as clearly stated many times the PRICES are over inflated . It might be a convenience store and you pay for that ? but these are beyond the scope, I travel into London and the similar Costco or independents are far cheaper. CO-OP, stop ripping off your customers.

Popped in for a few essentials. Given it's a small store, the selection is limited, but we got what we needed. A couple of parking spaces out front, but there's a free car park just behind the store - much easier.

I'd really like to support the East of England Co-op - I respect their ethical approach, and the fact that they tend to source food more locally than other supermarkets. This store is also closer than any of the "real" supermarkets, being within easy cycling, and even walking, distance.
However, they really don't d much to encourage. Stock here is inconsistent, so there's nothing close to a guarantee that they'll have what I need.
The staff in store are mostly very friendly and helpful, which goes some way towards mitigating the negatives (management might care to consider that their staff are one of the few things saving them from oblivion).
However, I then started to use the place regularly, and decided that I should apply for membership. Not only has the card not arrived after a month, but an email with details I would (allegedly...) be able to scan to add to my phone wallet has also never arrived, despite an initial welcome message being sent straight away. When I enquired with support about where it was, I received a response I can only describe as rude (and it's that that's prompted this review).
Coupled with general amateurishness - customer self-service checkouts that won't work with bananas, and don't tell you that (so you scan everything else, and then....) I'm now returning to serious supemarkets which are managed by people who understand how to treat customers and how to run a business - the shorter journey to the Co-op simply isn't worth the the pain.

The staff here were absolutely great. Courteous and helpful. Deserve a gold medal. Had 3 occasions to ask for assistance and each different person went beyond what I expected and have experienced in other stores. If I were a local resident I would use this store regularly despite being a little more costly but service was personal. A huge thank you to them.
