Bought a car with full MOT a few weeks ago, it developed a fault with the brakes after only 1 week of use, metallic griding noise. Contact Direct Vehicle Sales to report the situation, initial response from them was that brakes are not covered under warranty but would take a look if we returned the car… fair enough.
The car was being used by my son in Leeds, I did not like the idea of him driving back to the Derby with faulty brakes, so decided to have a garage locally take a look, they did and needed to replace both front disks and pads.
Approached DVS for an explanation as to how it could have passed an MOT and an opportunity for them to perhaps meet me half way on the brake repairs. They refused any responsibility did not offer any explanation which was disappointing but I'm more concerned, as they should be, of the validity of their MOT checks…at first very pleased with the professional service but clearly its superficial, be warned.
