One satisfied customer noted: "Situated in an old drill hall building in Hornchurch, the centre boasts a wide array of 'proper' antiques as well as some collectibles. The first-rate assortment of antiques, all pre-1949, ensures that there are very few of the dreaded 'collectables' (read: junk) that are often found elsewhere. We found the prices to be reasonable given the quality, and the lovely building's interior only adds to the charm. The owner was pleasant and happy to show us items in cabinets, further enhancing our experience. We would definitely return."

First-rate assortment of antiques, all pre-1949 and as a result very few of the dreaded "collectables" (read: junk) that you find so often elsewhere. We found the prices reasonable given the quality. Lovely building inside and owner was pleasant and only too happy to show us items in cabinets etc. Would definitely return.

A really nice little antique centre, the usual for pricing obviously as different dealers will set different margins. Something for everyone about the place and would cater to most tastes. The guy at the door was really welcoming and friendly and informative. Would definitely visit again when back in the area.

Been here a few times and have bought some good, quality items. Overall it leans heavily towards high-end and therefore quite pricey items and a lot of the stock has been there a while. We've always experienced friendly service here.

Went here again after a disappointing trip last time when my wife and I arrived to a closed door even though the website said open.
This time as we walked in a lady popped her head around the corner and pointed to the arrow on the floor obviously showing us there was a one way system in place but said nothing as she had a mobile phone stuck to the side of her head and was more involved with that than us.
As we walked around we realised that everything was pretty much the same as it was 6 months earlier, presumably because most things on sale here are over priced.
My advice is to skip this place and visit the other antique places in Horncastle where at least the owners are friendly and polite.

Our family visited here on 31/01/2022 and was utterly shocked at the abuse and nastiness of the elderly lady owner of the store. She refused entry to us all over none wearing of face coverings. I kindly explained to her that the government guidelines had ceased by then on the face coverings it it was back to a public choice matter. She proceeded to shout and talk nasty to us all telling us it was her policy and mandatory (which is pretty much discrimination as we all have health issues, myself a rare heart condition which i need to be able to breath clearly) anyhow i tried a few times to explain to her but to no avail, so the nasty lady got a piece of my mind. Will never visit this overpriced sham ever again, disgusting behaviour, hope they have to close down.

A decent, but perhaps a little expensive, antiques shop, but unfortunately I haven't found much in the way of new items for sale in my last few visits, so it's getting to the point where there's not a whole lot of use popping in each time I do a round of the many other antique shops Horncastle has to offer.

Edit 4 years later;

Reduced from 3 star to 2 star. I went in today and was immediately told I must wear a mask or I’m not allowed in. Compulsory wearing of masks by law ended 7 months ago. There was one other elderly lady in the shop, but obviously the mask rule didn’t apply to her, or the woman who told me as she could only wear her mask on her nose. I had cash in my pocket ready to spend but clearly my money isn’t good enough here. So much for pro choice.
