Went for an impromptu date night to the Dog & Otter , we've been meaning to try it for food for a little while.
Very happy to say, not disappointed. The young lady who served us was very happy and very attentive. My wife had the Hunter's Chicken, the best that she has had in a long time and I had the Super Double Burger and it was very juicy and tasty, nice to see home made patty burgers.
All in all a great night, lovely staff, good atmosphere and reasonable price.
Can't wait to go back again 👍

Funny how my original review was advised as being vague despite having all the information? so when I update the review I get no response at all very poor and will not be returning, having been a regular here previously, I cannot believe how poor and downhill this place has gone. Arrived for a drink, waited to be served which is not a problem if it is busy but it wasn't. There was a man serving who was more happy to talk to the 2 men at the end of the bar than serve. The girl who served us, whilst we have no problem with tattoos to have a top on that was not cropped but had simply ridden up to show off the tattoo around her middle is less than professional. There was another copy in at the same having a drink who were in as much shock at the place as we were. The door was wide open so when the two men kept going for cigarettes then stench came into the pub, it was cold, dirty and very unwelcoming to say the least. It became clear that the owner was actually sat on a bar stool at the bar chatting to the 2 men and even bothered at the state of the place. One of her children actually came downstairs to ask if she was going upstairs so she said yes she was and left after few minutes. There was another couple in the pub who also said how shocked they were at the place. I won't elaborate on the 2 men who were stood at the bar who went to the toilet together. There was no live sport just football on from 42 years ago? Absolutely shocking experience.
