I really don’t like to post negative reviews of places. But I felt this couldn’t go ignored. I went to divine trash yesterday with my mother, who was trying on clothing for her holiday and my dad who purchased a t shirt from them. We visit Buxton often and really like to visit the shop.

However, yesterday I had my young children with me whilst shopping. My youngest child who is 5, has autism and has significant sensory needs. She was on rains in the shop for her own safety, however she managed to grab a necklace from a rail which was at child high. She must have broken it as she went to touch it.

I was really embarrassed and apologised. My eldest child panicked as she is quite protective of her younger sister. I picked up the beads with my mum and a lovely member of staff who was really understanding.

However, this woman behind the counter embarrassed my mum and put her on spot asking if we were buying the necklace. My mum said no she didn’t want it, but would be happy to pay for the damage. The woman persisted to ask her if she would pay for the item. My mum explained, my daughters needs and again said she’s happy to pay for the damage but wouldn’t buy the necklace.

The woman then said it was fine, and my mum left the shop.

Firstly, whilst I understand we should pay for damage there is a way to go around it. This woman was not discreet or understanding, and she caused myself and my mother a lot of humiliation and embarrassment, over an accident caused by a small child.

This is not a review against the shop. It’s one specific member of staff. I believe if you work with the public then you should be understanding. Especially when it’s an awkward situation. This incident really spoilt our visit and caused me a lot of upset over my child.

Again, I apologise for the item that was broken and again we did say we would pay for the damage. A little more awareness of additional needs wouldn’t go a miss either, I should be able to take my children in shops and not feel guilty for doing so.

Bought a necklace a month ago and the chain broke easily. I went back to get another but had no joy. They had sold out. The shop assistant scoured the store for me then she found the same necklace on the Internet. She went above and beyond to find it as I loved it so much. I ordered it and it came a few days later. Well done for finding it. Thank you

I ordered a planter from divine trash for my mum for Christmas, and it arrived broken. It was only packaged in one very thin layer of bubble wrap and an extremely flimsy box so it’s clearly a fault with packaging. I have tried emailing divine trash to no avail, so I decided to try calling... what kind of clothing shop has an 0845 number that charges for calling them? Not willing to pay more money to chase the issue as I’m already out money for the broken plant pot, so leaving a review here seems it may be the best way to get their attention. TLDR; Christmas present for my mum ruined and still no response. I want a refund.

I was looking for something a bit different from the run of the mill T shirt, as I like to have a unique look.

My friend had told me about Divine Trash in Buxton. Initially, I had thought they only sold women's clothes but it turns out that they have a great collection of mens clothing too.

Anyway I picked up an awesome CHUNK T shirt. With Darth Vader on. Everyone, loves it. I'll be going back for more soon.
