Customer service very generic. Ordered my sons waistcoat and tie duo for my best friends funeral and the tie came faulty unable to tie I sent pictures (below) and explained I now have to purchase from somewhere else as we set off tomorrow (funeral is 5 hrs away) and I have been refused a refund unless I send back which I don’t have time or the resources to do as we are away. Could have sent out another no faulty item but they would rather me send back to get my money back am not bothered about the money I needed the suit asap! Especially with a specific dress code. Anyway it’s a load of rubbish and added stress I don’t need at this time. Should be checking your items before you sell them

Absolutely awful delivery service. Parcel left outside front of house that’s an open plan so anyone could have stolen it. Also never received a dispatch email from Debenhams weather item has been dispatched. Disgusting service. Wish I could give a 0 star but unfortunately I don’t have that option

Awful experience. They refuse to give me a full refund for a broken sideboard that is completely unusable. Instead of taking responsibility, they shift the blame to their sellers and do nothing to resolve the issue. Avoid buying from them – if something goes wrong, you’re on your own.

If I could give less than 1 star I would! I ordered some Christmas lights which were delivered on 18/11/24, they were 3 separate sets instead of 1 continuous set as described, so I returned them. The returns email address didn't work and after lots of back and forth I finally managed to get them sent back, they arrived on 16/12/24. It's now 17/1/25 and after having to pay for the postage and sending them back, I still haven't had a refund of any of the money. All I keep getting told is that they're a marketplace so it's not their fault despite the fact it's debenhams.com that took the payment, so it's them that is in breach of UK law. Absolutely appalling service and complete disregard for the law and for any kind of customer rights. Avoid these con artists at all costs!

I ordered a pair of size 6 wide fit shoe boots. I ordered them in the late evening and paid £5.99 for fast delivery. The following morning, I received an email highlighting to me that I had forgotten something in my basket! When I checked Debenhams had reduced the shoes from £44 to £30 and then reduced 24 hour delivery from £5.99 to £1.99. I was told to return the item for a refund. The shoes arrived 48 hours later and they were unsuitable so I did return them. However under Consumer code, Debenhams should have refunded the full cost including the £5.99 delivery. Instead they only refunded £44 less a further £1.99 return fee. I will be contacting my bank for advice as they appear to be blatantly not following the code especially as I had to pay to return them too. Avoid Debenhams 😤

Beautiful looking store. Home sector ok but would have liked more choice. Ladies wear was a really good mix of everything. Make up and perfumes looks impressive and the MAC make up lesson going on at the entrance was a brilliant idea. Mens wear casual was disappointing, formal/business was great. Loved the shoes and footwear but needed another assistant. Costa coffee by the entrance was nice.

Had a missing item over Christmas debenhams do not want to accept that item was missing despite the fact the missing item weighed more than the total parcel should have been 3 items only received 2 photo evidence sent madness

It is a shop that has been recently renovated; totally changing it's appearance. In this new guise; it appears to the visitor, much more beautiful and luminous and all the items displayed for sale are placed in their counters in order and elegance. At this point, my visit to this shop starts from the make -up and perfume department and to my delight and not only mine , there are many and very famous brands .Naturally it is good to specify that the prices cannot be moderate; but if customers have the patience to wait, very interesting discounts are of ten made during the year. After the tour in this department, we go to that of clothing and leaker goods, where you can find : designer clothes, shoes and bags and not at various prices. ...in short they are within everyone's reach ; even the home furnishings department is very interesting to visit as you can find beautiful and sometimes original items at all prices ;the staff is always polite and helpful with all customers. To conclude, I am obliged to inform people that on the ground floor there is the" Coffee Costa",which protrudes with its tables,inside the Debenhams
shop and here before making his visit to the departments the customer can, with complete relaxation, enjoy a good cup of coffee, before starting his tour in the various departments of the shop and it is not said that he cannot find something to buy.
