Large shopping outlet for clothes, shoes, household goods and bed linens for people over 50 plus, both men and women. Cafe also on site but rather pricey so go across the way and use Morrison's

Only really visited for the antiques centre which has a good variety of items and various dealers. We were lucky to be able to park very close in a car park which allows 3 hrs free. The big down point is that the antiques centre is on the first floor only accessible via steep steps. Anyone with mobility issues would have a real problem.

Awful rude staff in the department where the only toilets are. No signage anywhere to point you to lifts for customers. I'm Disabled, the lift is extremely tiny and doesn't give access to the Antique dept. The Disabled toilet is Padlocked. No sign on door to tell you to get the key in clothing dept. I had to use one of the tiny toilets, as the seat was broken in one cubicle. Sat on the toilet in the 2nd tiny cubicle, only to find that seats broken and I fell against the wall. I reported broken seats to 3 ladies at the till. Not in least interested or apologetic. I asked about Disabled toilet, got another negative answer about children vandalism, pointed out lack of sign as to where to get key, oh we'll mention it? I pointed out about RADAR key, not our problem. Pointed out it's discrimination, not our problem. So we left. Stood waiting for the claustrophobic lift, that smells fusty and quite clearly heard the 3 staff members pulling me to pieces. Anyone needing quick access to a Disabled toilet, my advise, don't go there.
The clothes are for elderly and very expensive. The High St selection boring. Shoe shop interesting. No signage to any cafes in the Mill. The only Cafe we found was Lauren's in the Courtyard. Distant and abrupt staff member but they were short staffed, so I'll forgive them, as the Toasties was amazing with a Full Side Salad.
The clothing side and staff attitude and lack of Accessibility means we'll stick to its sister Mill, at Armstrong in Ilkeston, once the flooding has receded and their lift is restored.
Sorry Belper but you've lost our custom.

Has a great selection of shops, lovely cafe but mainly lift is broken and the other doesn't give full access to antiques centre making it inaccessible for wheelchair users. If this issue is ever fixed, I'll give it 5 stars.

Shopping Centre in one of the historical Mills in Belper, Derbyshire.

Accessibility - there is a lift in one corner of the Mill, a small car park in front.

A whole range of stores and eateries including:
# clothes
# shoes
# bedding
# kitchenware etc.

Car Park - small one to the front with parking for disabled. Larger retail Car Parks near by.

Toilets - inside the Centre.

I am disabled and can't climb stairs !! My husband and I went there a few weeks ago bcos online it said lifts available !? There is a lift up to the first floor to the clothes but, at the other end of the building , no access to the antiques and collectables other than going down 7 or 8 steps !?so, we strongly suggest you change the wording online or get a damn lift installed !!!

Lovely Cafe, sat outside in the court yard. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. The selection of other mill retailers was mixed. However, I will return. ?

Returned this morning to browse the clothes shops and had a coffee too.

Very unusual shopping centre. It's in an old building with no heating, apart from little heaters in each shop. Worth a visit though.
