Had my mk5 Golf gti grill smoothed and painted by Alan at Darkside Paint & Body. After seeing their work on Instagram I gave them a go. Was very impressed with the work considering my OE grill was in poor shape he made it look brand new and didn’t charge the earth either. Nice fast turn around too. Very happy

Had black wingmirrors and roof done on an old golf the paintwork was in a pretty shabby state to begin with but the black finish afterwards was fantastic.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.
I recently took my VW transporter to the Darkside body shop to have work done on both sills which had been badly damaged. The completed work was of the highest standard and I would go as far as to say it is now better than when it came out of the factory. Attention to detail is unbelievable and when I went to collect my van I really got a sense of the passion and pride that the team have in their work. If you need body work doing then don’t hesitate to contact Darkside body and paint. A massive thank you to all the team.

Took my Seat Leon to Darkside to have a paint refresh on a few bits after the previous owner did a poor job. The car looks a lot better and Alan has delivered on what I wanted.

The whole process was seamless from start to finish. Communication with Sarah to get the car booked in was great and the job was done within the dates agreed. So overall, a positive customer experience!

I'll be using them again for any future work. Professional and friendly people with a passion for cars. Thanks guys!

My car went to darkside with some cosmetic damage on my part and I am absolutely overwhelmed with the result on my car. Outstanding work which was done correctly, spot welded pins and pulled out all of the dents with minimal filler to complete a perfect finish. Paint quality is perfect and looks factory finished. The darkside paint and body team have gone above and beyond and I can’t thank them enough. Would highly recommend to anyone, very good service, nice staff and a great price for the amount of work completed. If you have had work done here please leave a review to compliment their work!

Glen and the team were excellent to deal with.
Kirsty kept me informed at all times regards times etc.
Car was painted by Glen and looked great however an issue came up with the finish a day later which was due to the paint booth
Having a temp fault.

Long story short Glen said i need to laint it again which he did and the finish is fantastic.

I am very picky and very happy with the job and service.

If you want a quality job with nice people to deal with ...go to Darkside.?

Took some trim parts to be quoted. No interest at all. I've no issue with them saying they won't be able to do a good job of this part or they need a lot of time or its going to be expensive but there was a complete lack of interest and on the modification side (that I've followed for a long time and respected the work) I have no intention of taking any work to Darkside in future so whether they need the work or not, my first impression is if it's not something they enjoy or is easy - they are not interested.

Just my experience, maybe your experience was completely different.

No option to reply so I'm updating the original post.

The lack of interest when I explained what happened was a term used by the guy at the reception who said he would feed it back. The lack of interest was surrounding the words used and I quote "We've a lot of work on, we don't want to be getting into anything complicated". As a potential customer I don't care of need to know what you've got going on. Yet, I drove round the corner to a friendly workshop that happily articulated what they would do and how they would do it to provide the quality of work I was after. Funny, one company - irreparable, drive round the corner, another company.. welcoming and we're still debating over "lack of interest"
