Unfortunately the service their staff (not including the manager) provided there were UNPROFESSIONAL, UNQUALIFIED, INADEQUATE and INEXPERIENCED.

One of the items I bought online has got a little hole on the sleeve so I tried to return it in store in Crew Clothing WITNEY.

The staff asked me for the postcode and the surname (which later turned out it wasnt under that surname) and told me she couldn’t find my order.

I showed the staff the order confirmation email on my phone, the date of the order, somehow she insisted she couldn’t find it, without further asking my email address to check it under.

I asked her how other customers returned their items in the store. She said in a very certain tone: they bring the items back with a paper receipt.

I understand the paper receipt has the order number on it which helps with the return. However I also have returned a few times in the past without a paper receipt and never had any problems. I started to realize that it could simply be that she is inexperienced and not so qualified for her job or hasn’t received adequate training.

I found it hard to explain why even if I have the order confirmation email but they still couldn’t find my order in their system. So I suggested her to restart her store computer. But she did only THE VERY MINIMUM: instead of rebooting the computer, she only refreshed the webpage which I found a bit shocking. My feeling was that she couldn’t CARE LESS about me travelled all the way to the store and all the effort I made to try to get this sorted.

I left the Crew Clothing store WITNEY and rang another Crew Clothing store. The gentleman on the phone only asked me for the postcode and the date of the order. Found my order information in seconds. He said that THERE ARE MANY WAYS THEY CAN SEARCH TO FIND MY ORDER INFORMATION: emails, surnames, postcode, etc. To me, that was the level of professionalism I was looking for.

Regrettably, my one-off experience in Crew Clothing WITNEY today was a shamble. The staff was not only unwilling to try anything to provide help but blaming me for providing the incorrect surname. That was UNPROFESSIONAL, UNQUALIFIED, INEXPERIENCED, INADEQUATE.

Unfortunately the manager wasn’t there.

Incredibly friendly staff and great prices to match with a lot of choices. The staff are always happy to help with whatever you need. Would like to see more variety in menswear but that's not a fault of the store itself, they don't control the stock they get.
