This Co-Op is a pleasant shop with a good atmosphere. Having been one of the original Co-Operatives, with a stone outside stating that it was laid in 1899 by a director of the society, you can see that some parts of the store could possibly do with a revamp to bring the shop more up-to-date with the new and modernised branding of the Co-Op. The shop seems to be well-stocked, although some ranges are lacking, although this should be expected from a smaller convenience store. It is quite hard to park here, so I ended up parking on a nearby road rather than in the store’s car park. Overall, a good branch of the Co-Op that the staff should be proud of.

The store is good but the car park is incredibly poor. Badly laid out bays planters, bollards and signs are all obstacles to manoeuvre.
Dangerous reversing and a blind corner are accidents waiting to happen.
The staff are polite and the shop is well maintained and has a very varied stock.
There is a cash machine outside.

They have no control over people entering the shop and social distancing. Allowing everyone to enter when they want and walk where they want with no control measures.

During this current crisis I would have thought they would have taken it more seriously.

I think they need to be clearer on the closing times, it's abit misleading to see on the website it closes at 10pm every night and yet it states 11pm outside, and last night I wanted to call in, it was just past 9,and the shutters were down and shop in darkness yet still said open on the co op website
