This store is a joke. Regularly not open at 7am. Thought this may change after the change of management. Briefly it did. Have counted 10 customers driving off this morning. It's a disgrace. Either sort it out or close the store.

I have been coming here for years now and think it is time I wrote a review. All the team are brilliant but Tomas specifically has been amazing to my family! I have seen him taking immense time and care with the elderly , stopping for chats, helping carrying shopping… nothing is ever too much for him. He has a very bright future ahead of him and is someone I can certainly see as the store manager in the future with all his impressive characteristics.

This post is by no means directed at all the staff by all accounts most of the staff that I have encountered have gone out their way and happy to help, a young lad last week was outstanding, however unfortunately I approached a male member of staff this evening to ask a simple question & and felt like I had my head bitten off. This was hours a go, yet I'm still going over it. We're all people who work, trying and doing our best in life, what is the need? Keep up the hard appreciated work to all that deserve it. Shame on you to the man this evening that was above helping out a fellow human.

The Co-op food store isn't just a place to pick up groceries; it's an experience. It caters to a diverse range of needs, offering a cornucopia of products that leaves you spoilt for choice. Whether you're a budget-conscious student, a health-conscious foodie, or a family feeding a tribe, the Co-op has something for everyone.

**A Symphony of Selection:**

The first thing that strikes you upon entering a Co-op is the sheer variety of products lining the shelves. From the familiar own-brand staples to international delicacies, there's a world of culinary exploration waiting to be discovered.

* **Own-Brand Brilliance:** Co-op's own-brand range is a revelation. The "Co-op" and "Irresistible" lines offer excellent quality at competitive prices. You'll find everything from everyday essentials like pasta and rice to gourmet delights like truffle oil and sun-dried tomatoes.

* **Ethical Extravaganza:** For the ethically conscious shopper, the Co-op is a haven. Their "Fairtrade" and "Plant-based" ranges cater to those who want to make a difference with their purchases. The "Gro" plant-based line offers a delicious selection of meat and dairy alternatives, while the "Free From" range caters to those with allergies and intolerances.

* **Global Grub Galore:** Love a taste of the world? The Co-op offers a delightful selection of international foods. Find yourself transported to Italy with a jar of sun-dried tomatoes, or take a trip to Thailand with a packet of fragrant curry paste.

**Freshness You Can Trust:**

The Co-op prioritizes fresh produce, ensuring their fruits and vegetables are vibrant, seasonal, and bursting with flavor. The bakery section is a fragrant haven, with freshly baked bread, pastries, and cakes that will tantalize your taste buds. The meat and fish counters offer a wide variety of cuts, all sourced with an emphasis on quality and sustainability.

**Beyond the Basics:**

While groceries are the star of the show, the Co-op offers a surprising array of additional products. Here you'll find everyday essentials like household cleaning supplies, toiletries, and even a limited selection of greeting cards and magazines. Some stores even have convenient extras like cash machines, lottery kiosks, or even in-store pharmacies.

**A Community Champion:**

The Co-op goes beyond just selling groceries, they actively engage with their communities. They source locally whenever possible, supporting local farmers and producers. Their membership scheme allows customers to earn points towards discounts and promotions, and a portion of their profits goes back to community initiatives.

**A Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere:**

The Co-op fosters a warm and welcoming ambience. The staff are friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions and offer a smile. The stores themselves are typically well-lit, clean, and organized, making your shopping experience a breeze.

**Of Course, No Place is Perfect:**

While the Co-op excels in many areas, a few minor drawbacks exist. The selection in smaller stores can be a little limited compared to larger supermarkets. Additionally, some own-brand products may not quite match the quality of some name brands.

**The Final Verdict:**

The Co-op food store is a true gem for shoppers seeking variety, quality, and value for money. Their commitment to fresh produce, ethical sourcing, and community engagement sets them apart. While a few minor limitations exist, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive. Whether you're a seasoned cook or just starting your culinary journey, the Co-op offers a welcoming space to explore and discover new flavors. So, the next time you're looking to stock your pantry, consider taking a trip to your local Co-op – you might just be surprised by the delightful oasis that awaits you.

Brilliant to have the coop on our doorstep. Being ethical, all that they sell will be sourced ethically, that means our British farmers get a decent price for their milk and meat, and veg farmers get paid a proper price. Overseas food will have been traded fairly, All of it, not just the odd bits here and there to make them look good. The shop itself is small enough to be classed as a good old fashioned corner shop, yet big enough to have all the essentials. The car park is very small, I'm hoping that the plough and Harrow have a deal with them and people are allowed to park in the pubs car park next door, especially if the trade that they get is as busy as it was today. Well done Coop, and welcome to Sutton Coldfield .

They had the entire frozen/refrigerated foods aisle completely closed off while staff were loading fridges - at lunchtime on a Friday! This also meant that the way into their demarkated one way system was closed, very confusing. Staff not very friendly either, apart from to one another - chatting and laughing loudly among themselves while unpacking and blocking the aisle.
