I like to coop. As a chain, it's products are ethnically sourced and reasonably priced. As an individual shop, this one has friendly and helpful staff, and despite the small size has all the basics and a decent selection of booze. Very handy local shop.

The display of cream cakes and sticky buns by the Co-op here on East Parade York is to be commended however uncovered produce leaves itself open to spittle from customers and dust from their clothes; all food should be protected.
