Well-stocked, and always clean and tidy. Two slight gripes: I’ve had a few out of date items — admittedly I should check but not many people do.
I’ve also noticed lately that some of the colleagues can be very curt, bordering on rude. I recently asked someone if they were going to have any cashiers working, as there was a bottleneck at the self-serve tills. Clearly put out, she barked “no!” at me and walked off. Didn’t even engage or make eye contact.
Perhaps the manager can give them all a pep talk, that kind of rudeness is not appreciated when I’m in your store spending my money.

I've lived nearby for years, and seen it change and it's definitely got much better. Could easily do a main shop here for essentials + staff are nice + very clean and orderly most of the time.

Much smaller than walking around the big Tescos in Baldock too so if you're in a hurry/don't like big + loud spaces, it can be perfect.

Self service machines are a bit questionable if you use notes, but could just be me... but it's not, it's definitely the machines 😛 Point is they might look faster, but they might not necessarily be so.

Not a bad place at all. There's usually adequate parking but the entrance to the car park is really badly designed. The planners want shooting! The store inside is fine albeit too cold, I guess because of all the chillers. It's not an inspiring place or somewhere you would want to browse, but it stocks most grocery items if you don't want to travel to somewhere else. The staff never seem to be cheerful, rather that they have to be there and just do what they have to do.

Refurbished store looks very smart. Nicely laid out good choice of most products. Polite checkout staff. Some self service tills. Lots of gaps on chilled shelves. Grocery side didn't look as if it had been faced up in days. Lots of empty boxes on shelves.

This I find a really good shop as it is a lot bigger than a local style of co-op (at least double the largest ones I have been to), but not as big as a typical large town supermarket; meaning you have a good choice of stock and can get around a lot quicker than a big supermarket. Staff are also helpful and friendly.

A decent store with a great bakery. I come here for fresh bread a few times a week and it rarely disappoints. Shelves are not always as well stocked as they could be though which can be frustrating. I recently discovered there's a (accessible) toilet at the back which is always worth knowing with a toddler in tow!

This was a lovely store, staff are really nice, nice layout but the last few months it always looks like it has been robbed. Shelves are bare. The frozen offer they have, which is brill, usually has one item missing so your can't get the deal, is this done on purpose?
A couple of examples; I went in to buy custard on Thursday, there wasn't any available, not a tin, not a carton, not powder, all out of stock. For a town that is Growing and thriving this could be a little goldmine. Another time I went for pasta and of all the shelves of pasta there was only 2 bags left. (The expensive stuff)
I go at various times of the day and its always as bad.
How come larger shops in busier areas manage to keep their shelves filled and this little store can't?

Good for local shopping, mostly not too busy. Gave four stars as their range is not as extensive as larger supermarkets. But they deserve 5 stars for being there and providing a good service.
