Nice little modern store with a good selection of produce. As other reviews have mentioned, it’s let down only by the staff who can be quite unhelpful and borderline rude at times. On one occasion my self-checkout had malfunctioned so I asked the nearest member of staff for assistance, only to be told curtly,
“I’m in the middle of a stock take. Ask someone else.”
On another occasion my shopping bag burst in the car park, spilling milk everywhere. The bag clearly must have been damaged before I used it, but a member of staff tried to imply it was my fault as I must have over-filled the bag.

Resulted to leave scathing review after numerous accounts of insufficient staffing. There are 4 or 5 Self serv tills and only one human serving till the tabacco side, which is very rarely manned. Today my Mum stood for 5 minutes waiting for help when the till stopped scanning. Finally she had to leave her items to search for a staff member to find two staff members opening boxes, chin wagging to get 'oh yeah- I'm coming I know you're waiting'.
Appalling service.
I have noticed this co-op going really down hill. Lack of staff is the worst, combined with a lack of full shelves and prices rising, it, can't compare on scale of shop, but variety of veg and always helpful. an absolute disappointment. Beautiful community around this area, this could be such a great place to shop. Sadly it isn't. May as well head to Londis Hest Bank instead, fully staffed and always pleasant and helpful.

Excellent Co-Op Service and Staff.
Everything in the shop was nicely set ou and easily accessible.

I had a little trouble scanning my goods so I went to the till instead.

The customer service person must have been watching me as he came round took me back to the scanner and showed me what to do I was very surprised and impressed.

good ranges of fresh fruit & veg, chilled (including dairy, fish, meat, and ready-cooked microwavable), baked, bakery, biscuits, chocolate (including very good co-op brand, fairtrade), ice cream etc., fizzy drinks, alcoholic drinks from ciders & beers through wines & spirits.
friendly, helpful & knowledgeable staff, fast service and scan-it-yourself + pay by card or cash stations - wheelchair friendly, as is shop (though no wheelchair access to shop except via car-park from bye-pass road).

nearest bus stops on bye-pass road (A6): st. michael's lane, royal hotel; buses 5, 55, 555, 755.

Just popped in quick for some oven chips. I have their app on my phone but the shop hasn't got a scanner which works with it! The staff have to key in the number off my phone so rather defeats the purpose of having the app.
