Nice shop with great staff! A variety of food/drink. A nice little convenient store!

This is my local store & I live down the road, generally the staff tend to be friendly & helpful. However after popping in last week, a store assistant by the name of Linda was extremely rude & disrespectful towards me.
After picking up on her attitude and asking to speak to the manager there was no apologies & the manager advised he can’t do anything and I have yo contact head office. Which I did, but still have not heard a response.
By looking at other reviews, it seems like this same lady has done this before & nothing seems to have improved & coop have not looked in to Linda!
Will be avoiding Coop now & going next door to Tesco!

Love the shop my local every day shop.
Yes prices can be more than big supermarket but paying for convenience. Tho with coop card you earn points to convert to money off at till. Also get 2 offers a week of money off items you usually buy. For me it's always 50p off pet foods, toilet rolls and vodka!

I've been going to this place for years. I prefer the old layout, but the self checkout is a big plus. Unfortunately one of the newer members of staff is so rude it puts me off visiting when she is working, but I've found the rest of the staff very friendly.

Was waiting by the till without anyone behind the desk then when I finallly was served it was by a very rude lady named Linda, she looked un pleasant and I was getting very bad vibes being served by her, she was snarling at me that she had to love my items forward when I put them on the counter then she threatened to refuse service from me when I hadn’t said a word, I asked her if she was having a bad day? And she snarled at me again saying no you are in a very juvenile way, piss poor service really disappointed I don’t even want to go into my local shops anymore

The staff at the coop in Newton road are always happy and help in any way needed.
I was just in there and as with everywhere else you go there is a little waiting time and it makes me so mad that some customers are rude to the staff just because they have to wait and complain when staff members have their well deserved break... well done to every single staff member for the fantastic service you provide for us all

Nice little store let down by a very rude and aggressive member of staff Linda . I would not call he a shop assistant as she seemed to want to provoke me in to an augment will take my custom elsewhere
