I’ve used the Chevronic Centre a couple of times now and can definitely recommend.

The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Most of my interaction has been with James the sales manager. First time I came in I was looking to get the alternator belt, rear pads and rear discs done on my X7. He phoned his supplier up on the spot to give me a quote and then phoned up another to see if he could get me a lower price (he did). He understood all technical info I gave him and gave me technical answers to my questions without being condescending.

He was up front about pricing and even pointed to things that can be done but don't need to be currently (instead of just lying and telling me to get them done). The pricing has been very reasonable as well, for the belt and rear brakes I paid something like £360 (off the top of my head) whereas the main dealer wanted £340 for the brakes alone and £110 for the belt. My second visit was a minor service, oil leak investigation, RPM stuttering investigation, and a suspension knock (which they picked up on before I did) investigation.

The technicians have done a great job both times. They found one definite source of the oil leak and one very likely one. They found the general source of the stuttering and were up-front about what they'd need to do and how much it would be to pin-point it. They also found the potential source of the knocking and replaced what parts they had on hand. Their turnaround time the first time was 5h and their second was a day (they gave me a courtesy car the second time).

Got my car back in exactly the condition I gave it to them. No chunks missing out of my gear stick, no new dirt in the interior, no smells of oil (all things that have happened to me at main dealers), nothing. They also found various currently-minor things that can develop into bigger problems if not looked at. Very quick and thorough work.

I've currently booked it for a third session. I've been dead chuffed with the service I've gotten from the Chevronic Centre given the number of nightmares I've been through with main dealers and first-party-authorised places.

Didn't fix a problem with the car and still charged me. They present themselves as a Citroen specialist but they lack knowledge in area of C5 suspension. I Do not recommend it. 🙂 If there was no fault why you took money from me to fix it ?

Came down for a gearbox service on my 407 coupe 3.0 hdi! I was surrounded by classic and modern French beauties! Approximately 6months ago, I acquired a 2000 Saxo VTS. It needed a few things doing here and there. One of the issues was an oil leak, no big deal right? So I entrusted a local garage to me (in Bolton). Without going in to the ins and outs of it, they made a pigs ear of it (whilst curbing the alloy in the process)
I reached out to Chevronics at this point on the phone, for nothing more than the hope I would be pointed in the right direction. At this point there was no financial gain to Chevronics but the lady I dealt with initially was very welcoming and James went over and above, giving me specific pointers on email… again a level of service he wasn’t obliged to offer.
The light dawned on me at that point, that I needed to entrust a garage that simply knew what they were talking about and not a garage solely dependent on seeking second opinions from euro car parts! I have a Mk 1 mini and i am a believer that cars (especially modern/old classics) should be dealt with by a specialist…. (So why didn’t I follow my own advice, I don’t know)
I booked the car in for a timing belt / water pump and general look over. Drove it down from Bolton (tied in with a sight seeing tour of London with the family). Again, James the next day without prompt was emailing me to communicate progress etc.
On collecting the car, there was no ushering in/out like most garages. He took the time to go through everything and even tightened up the slightly loose drivers door before leaving. Unfortunately, as I suspect the battery had been disconnected, my radio wouldn’t work and I had lost the code. Again, sorted by 12 the following day!
All in all, a superb level of customer service from start to finish. A family business that clear to see with people going above and beyond and not just occupying a seat/role, offering the bare minimum as most commonly seen. Proof that if you go the extra mile initially for nothing, that in itself can generate business.
If you have a classic Citroen / Peugeot I would not hesitate to use!
