We went for a quick brunch, 3 adults, two children on the first day of half term and was expecting it to be packed by was pleasantly surprised to be able to get a nice table by the window!

Small but perfectly formed menu - all the classics for an English Breakfast, Benedict, or indeed as I had, avocado on toast with bacon.

Beautiful bacon by the way - real quality stuff!

The 'Little Gardeners' breakfast for the kids was a crazy bargain - £4.95 for beans, scrambled egg, toast, choice of bacon or sausage and the perfect portion size for kids. I think the only feedback is that the trays they served it on was a bit babyish - think there's a fine line between what is ok for a 6 year old vs say an 8 year old! I mean they gobbled it up but it was mentioned by the 8 year old! Perfect amount of food but the tray was like for a toddler.

The staff were absolutely lovely, the coffee was great, I'd go back in a heartbeat!!

A group of 4 of us went for the Christmas Lunch today and it was fabulous.
Two people had turkey one person had poached cod and one person had the mushroom Wellington. I had the cod and it was beautiful. Everybody else said theirs were really nice as well. The vegetables were cooked nicely, not overcooked, the sprouts were tasty and had a bit of bite to them. The dessert we chose was mince pie mess and that was very tasty.
All in all I would thoroughly recommend this.
I will definitely be booking next year they did the table nice they had crackers and Christmas decorations on the table so it all looked very festive.
The staff were also very helpful.

Another of our regularly visited centres. We also had lunch here, having booked a table for four when we arrived. (advisable, as it's very popular) A good menu & range of drinks available. A great selling point for the cafe/restaurant is that they offer half portions on most of the main meals. Which was ideal for our two elderly companions. If you're feeling indulgent, try the deluxe milk shake! The garden centre & shop is well stocked & the staff are knowledgable & helpful. Large amount of car parking, including many blue badge spaces which are mainly located close to the entrance & exit. We had no difficulty with our wheelchair & walker throughout the centre. No doubt we'll be back again later in the month to take advantage of the usually excellent Christmas section.

One of the best garden centres in the area. Staff are really friendly, knowledgeable & keen to help. Huge car park to the front of the garden centre with several disabled spaces. When we have bought plants from Riverside, they've been really healthy. Prices are comparable with their competitors. I would definitely recommend this place for anything to do with your garden 👍🙂

Had to clear my own table to start. No menu so borrowed the tables next to us. Went to order the steak sandwich, after queuing was told no steak. Water served in plastic cups. Other tables left dirty foe some time.
When the club sandwich did come it was very tasty so no complaints there.

We haven’t been since it changed for the worse. We had a nice warm scone with jam and clotted cream. Unfortunately my latte had a nice long blond hair in it. I pointed it out to the waitress and received an apology and she replaced it but no offer of a refund and to be honest she didn’t seem particularly bothered! They should be covering their hair when serving food/drinks.

Would not recommend. This used to be one of the best places for breakfast around the area & since it’s been taken over, it has gone down hill. Breakfast this morning wasn’t great at all - wrong order, some of the food was stone cold and had to be replaced, the hash browns were oily frozen ones & the scrambled egg was dreadful. Will not be coming back again - such a shame as it used to be great.

Lovely garden centre with a great choice of planting material. The bistro is also very cool but a tad pricey. Lots of parking space but I noticed it wasn’t particularly busy but maybe that’s because I visited on a weekday.
