I booked the private cheese factory tour as a surprise gift for my boyfriend and was absolutely blown away by the experience.
Steve is incredibly warm, engaging, humorous and knowledgeable and made the most special and fun day out for us both.
The tour journey itself was seamless and natural, and it was an absolute pleasure meeting the team at High Weald and studiously learning about their cheese making process.
You can tell they really care about their craft, have plenty of fun along the way in making the best cheese out there and are very proud of their product.
Again, Steve was super informative and we came away with not only a very full stomach (being incredibly generous with the cheese tasting part of the tour!) but armed with plenty of cheese-related knowledge.
Steve also made the tour very personal and looked after us, catering to my boyfriend’s coeliac dietary requirements (with the most delicious gf crackers) and surprise birthday candles in one of the wheels of cheese.
A huge thank you again to Steve and the High Weald Dairy team.
I couldn’t recommend booking this experience enough.

We took a team of 20 people to High Wield Dairy for the cheese tour. It was a brilliant experience! Even though we were a large group, everyone felt involved and was able take part at each stage. A huge thank you must go to Steve who made the tour so enjoyable for everyone. We will be back again!

What a fantastic experience! Steve has created such a wonderful, interesting and fun journey through the cheese making process. His knowledge is incredible, and he shares it all in such an engaging, light way with such great humour thrown in. It was fascinating - it’s the second time I’ve been and I’d go again - I’d really recommend it as a brilliant way to spend a Sunday lunchtime, especially if you love cheese!

This was utterly brilliant. The cheese was amazing but more than anything Theta that Steve gave was really informative, engaging and very entertaining. Steve is excellent in his presentation, really adapting to the group and bringing a great mix of serious entertaining. It meant that two hours just flew by. Very highly recommended to anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the High Weald dairy with Steve - I couldn’t recommend it more. He was so friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining, and we learnt an enormous amount about the process of cheese creation - as well as getting an opportunity to taste and enjoy a very sizeable selection of amazing dairy produce at the end. We thoroughly enjoyed our cheese tour with Steve last week. The evening began with a tour of the different rooms and equipment used to make cheese. Nothing was off limits and no question was too much trouble. Steve is very knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. We all came away with a good understanding of the cheese-making process from start to finish. The tour concluded with a cheese tasting session. Generous portions of 5 different delicious cheeses, some crackers and a yummy chutney. All in all this was a fantastic experience and a fun evening, a very good gift to have received.
