I had really high hopes for this place. I emailed them a spec of what I wanted done to my guitar and Charlie responded with basically a ‘get lost’ due to them being apparently being too busy and did not even provide me with any alternative options. Anyway I thought I would give them another chance and emailed them again, where I very nicely asked if they could replace my fretboard. However, this time Charlie, nor any of his staff, decided not to even reply to me… actions really do speak louder than words. So as a local of 40 years, I can most definitely state that this by far the worst customer service luthier in existence.

Charlie rebuilt my Pensa, it was in a mess, they changed all the electics/pick ups to original, plek-set the neck and refinished the body to original colour - its now mint.
These guys are the best luthiers in the uk if not the world. Don’t bother going anywhere else, they will courier to and from you for a minimal cost which makes it all easy.

The guitar equivalent of a Saville Row tailor- fully bespoke solutions. No job too big or small. The vibe in the shop is excellent, as is the gear for sale. Jeremy will likely be your point of contact - absolute legend. Wouldn’t take my gear anywhere else!

I only called for a single valve for my hybrid amp but Jeremy treated me the same as if I’d come for the ‘59 Gibson on the wall. Charlie sourced a tube and tested it and gave me a great price. There’s vintage gear here for the pros - but vintage service for the rest of us, too

I bought my beautiful Guild D50 from Chandlers in November (apologies for tardy review). Jeremy couldn't have been more helpful and his communication before I picked it up was excellent, updating me on when it was ready as the action required a bit of work. This was all included in the price and thanks to the backroom staff for doing this and the set up (apologies for not remembering your names). I can't recommend Chandlers highly enough for friendly service and professionalism. Thanks also to Charlie! Don't go anywhere else.

Great guitar 🎸 shop, very knowledgeable staff, with a fantastic range of guitars, amps, cases, strap and everything you could need. Apologies if I get his name wrong, Alistair was so patient and happy to let us try the various guitars and amps. Nothing was too much trouble even with our huge pram and small space. We bought a guitar and amp with some other bits and pieces. Best retail experience I've had in ages, highly recommend and am sure we'll be back. Thanks you

How great are these people!! I've taken 2 guitars for repair now. An excellent job has been done on both occasions. They are super friendly and knowledgeable and have told me facts about my guitars that I didn't know. The look of enthusiasm when I sheepishly took out my very first guitar, a Fender Squire, says a lot. True professionals who want the best for their customers. Inspiring. Highly recommended!!
