Worst co op in the area, staff always too busy talking among themselves rather than serving the enormous queues. Rude and unfriendly. Customers always seem like a huge inconvenience for them. Multiple times they’re slagging off other customers whilst serving others-one in particular is very loud about this. Never able to just ‘nip in’ and pay for fuel-it’s always a 15/20 minute ordeal waiting to be served. Everything is overpriced and disorganised. So many staff on shop floor you can barely get down the isles yet seems to be a lack of staff where they’re actually needed. Management needs to scrub up on basic standards for their staff. This would be totally unacceptable in any other retail environment. I would rather go the extra distance to Belper or Matlock for fuel or better yet, Ken’s down the road for groceries. (I’d like to add -its never any of the younger staff that have these issues, they’re the only ones who make an effort so props to them)

Good selection of food and drink sold, magazines and newspapers sold, hot food and drink to take away, petrol station, cash card machine, a welcome addition to the area and much needed.

The co-op in wirksworth has been recently extended and it now serves a great selection of food and drink, as a resident local to the area this is a great addition and much needed 😀

Good for quick shopping trips and petrol. Park up if you plan on a longer shop in the Co-Op after getting fuel. Has a Subway attached to it near the entrance. Shown in picture.

Sick of poor customer service in this place, I'm local and use this coop almost every day.

Quite often there is a big queue of people waiting for the cashiers to stop chatting.

Many of the staff not all, can't be bothered to help you with a query.

I have been potentially over charged on a few occasions when the prices scanned on the till are not the same as the price on the label of the product. Always more expensive never less.

Lots of fresh bread and pastries, bread was still warm 👍. Good size store with lots of choice for citizens and holiday makers. Friendly staff with several tills open to accommodate a busy morning.

Fuel was the cheapest I have seen too, £1.699 for diesel. Great!

As a keen cyclist I am a regular user of Co-Op's for coffee and cakes. Without a doubt the staff at Wirksworth are the friendliest and most helpful that I meet. Never let the queue get too long and always have a laugh and a joke. One gripe though. They always clean the coffee machine around 10am on Saturday and Sunday which seems completely illogical. I know it has to be cleaned but surely end or start of day and not at most traditional coffee break. As a result we have started using another take out cafe in Wirksworth which we would rather not do
