I’ve been using this place for three years now and they never disappoint and always have what I’m looking for. I like the fact I can order something I need delivering to me an 9/10 times it can be delivered the same day. This to me is perfect where as other companies that sell this kind of building materials cannot deliver the same day or even the same week in many cases. Staff here are extra friendly and always willing to help. If they haven’t got what you need, they can get it ordered in no problem. 5* from me.

Outstanding. I ordered 3 tonnes of type 1 at 0900 hrs while I was out and about and it was delivered to site at 1030 hrs, before I arrived there myself. The driver phoned to enquire where I wanted it dropped. First class service from everyone involved, at a competitive price. Many thanks.

Good service but very expensive for retail customers - only use if you cannot get the product you want elsewhere. Also beware of returns policy - they will not take back a whole range of items even if still sealed/unused. As others have said, timber yard no use for many DIY jobs. Whole set up seems designed for regular business customers for whom discounts are available.

planed timber not available in car friendly lengths and does not cut to order on site, and a bit expensive for retail customers. Adhesives VERY expensive for retail customers, difference would pay the petrol to go to day sheds in Cromer or Fakenham and back again just for a couple of items. (very limited range of adhesives at their in town branch too).

Wow!!! Talk about trying to pull your trousers down....CT Baker is a complete rip off merchant.

I wanted to replace an empty Flogas 11kg gas bottle on an exchange basis. I usually use Calor gas so was expecting to pay pretty much the same, give or take a few quid.

I went to CT Baker and was told the cost would be £47.40. I queried it as I thought they were charging for a new bottle? It was 17.00 so I thought I had no option as Flogas were much more expensive.

A few minutes after leaving I Google Flogas 11kg bottle on the Flogas site. An 11kg bottles was £27.99 exchanged. I went back to CT Baker and told the manager I wanted to return it cause I simply wasn't going to pay that price as it's a rip off. He agreed a refund and my old empty bottle back, which was very good of him. He did say that they had no control over pricing which again, I can understand.

I bought a 11kg bottle for £27.99 at Holt garden centre the following day.

The moral of this story is that the people in charge of pricing at CT Baker are absolutely taking the mucky. I called Flogas and spoke to their customer services. They said that they didn't have any control over the retailers of their gas bottles, but they also stated that in their opinion the fact that CT Baker were charging that amount was completely inappropriate and unacceptable.

Be warned and check your product pricing elsewhere before going to CT Baker.

Will not cut timber to length, sells in lengths which cannot be carried in most cars without a roof rack, charges £10 delivery. Paint and adhesives/sealants very expensive at "retail" prices.
