Stick to the big company’s which payout in less than 48 hours 👍
I brought a very cheap Apple iPhone 14 Pro 128GB in gold to sell on, I got £370 in the end so I was very happy.
I had to pretty much say I’m coming for my phone back before they paid out.
Worked like a charm 👍

Paid for a "Premium" condition iPhone handset, 8th December 2024 from UR.co.uk (Buyur). Opened the item, intended to be a Christmas gift, which to my surprise was absolutely battered. The handset had chunks of paint missing and chips all around the body. I don't believe UR would sell the item in such a state; however, it arrived with me in this state due to their being absolutely zero packing material in the parcel. The phone was just in a UR-branded cardboard box, with some loveheart sweets, a sim tool, charging cable and a "premium condition" iPhone handset all loose knocking about inside. No bag, no packing foam, bubble wrap or similar.

I contacted support early the following morning and arranged for the damaged item I received to be returned. Which I duly did. Then, I heard nothing, so eventually I chased, hoping for a replacement to make it in time for Christmas, nothing, requested a refund instead on account of receiving a battered item so I could source another elsewhere for the intended Christmas gift. It was confirmed on 20th December 2024 that a refund would be processed shortly.

Still awaiting said refund 7th January 2025 so again, I chased. A few hours later I get an automated system email stating that an order I returned had been refunded, no actual reply to my message. I then notice that the instigated refund is for £313.46, and not the £329.95 originally paid. This makes the refund short £16.49. I presume this is some sort of postage cost as there is no explanation provided for it. So now, I am once again chasing UR to refund me. This time for the £16.49 deducted from my refund amount in addition to the amount already instigated.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 makes it an implied term of the contract that goods be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. Any returns policy that says I have to cover the cost of returning items must only relate to the situation where I change my mind about the item ordered and not where there is a problem with the item. I should not lose out financially as a result of UR's breach of contract and accordingly all costs of returning the item should be met by UR.

Needless to say, I will not be returning.

Considering the negative reviews I’ve seen from people regarding this company, I can safely say I’ve had a pleasant experience. Wanted to sell my iPhone 12 and used these guys. The packaging sent to me for boxing up my phone was very sufficient to minimise damage, even from so called manhandling couriers. It was delivered on a Wednesday and was promptly assessed. By Tuesday I got paid. Although it wasn’t for the full value, I was happy with the revised price as the battery health was below the threshold and amount of charging cycles was also high. The only negative thing I’d say about these guys is communication is everything. A quick email to say they received the phone wouldn’t go amiss. I did have to chase them but got a reply very quickly. Customer service wise, they don’t answer the phone but do respond to emails. That being said, I would definitely sell my new phone as and when it arises to these guys. I sincerely hope others have the same experience as I did and make someone happy with a refurbished phone as not all people can afford the prices these manufacturers charge nowadays. Keep up the good work BuyUR.

After getting a price quote to sell my iphone 14 Pro Max on compare and recycle, I quoted price was £485 with this irresponsible and inconsiderate individuals working in the company. The payment is next day once everything is cleared. My quoted price was reduced to £401.50 due to battery at 85% and the phone was charged around 672 times.
Unbelievable to change the price on this basis. I agreed because in this business I do not know how much a seller is protected legally. I did not want to get a phone back where there could have been nastiness done to it. My phone was well looked after, thus very good condition.
The point I want to make here despite the quote of a phone of two years old charging at a daily rate should have been charged for around 730 times. A battery of two years will logically not be the same as a new one. What are the factors compare and recycle takes into account to quote.
I understand the individuals working for UR are insulting their intelligence

First time I used UR to sell my Immaculate IPhone 12 Pro Max with 100% battery life. I went with them as they offered the highest resale price at £295.

They came back with “ scratches on the screen” and offered £40 less. I refused and asked the phone back. They came back and offered another £20. I had already decided not to bother with them and got the phone back . I got the phone back in an oversized cardboard box with no packaging; the phone in plastic bag rattling in an oversized box . This is from a company that asks you to package your phone to them as if your life depended on it.

Morale of the story ? Be prepared to be low balled . The highest offered price is just to reel you in so just be aware . I don’t know if all these reselling firms are unscrupulous and dishonest and just waiting to rip you off ..

Samsung s22 nightmare. Sent out a faulty phone that was supposed to be fully refurbished and excellent but wouldn't turn on.
Customer Services have been a nightmare stalling on the refund after I wouldn't accept an exchange.
I would stay away from this company. Be warned. I am still waiting on a refund and they are using delay tactics.

Honestly a really good experience selling my old iPhone XS. I knew the battery life was really bad so that’s why they dropped the price down but it was still a good price they got for me. It did take 3 weeks to be paid but it is because the email with the new offer on was sent to my spam but the lady Kimberly I emailed was very helpful & I sorted it. I got paid the day or two after i accepted the offer. Very smooth process and they sent me the package in the post so I could safely sent it off free of charge to them. Would recommend if you’re selling your old phone!!

Brilliant communications. Absolutely no shortage of emails but only a few relevant . Don’t accept the first offer, keep you waiting before payment after having my phone over two weeks.
