Terrible Service, Terrible Purchase Experience
I will explain the entire process step by step. We purchased a desk from Furniture123 (buyitdirect.co.uk), and during the assembly process, we noticed that part 7 was missing the required mounting slots. We contacted the seller, who informed us that they had received our request and that the delivery process would begin within 48 hours.
However, after 5-6 days, we received no responseāno email, no notification, nothing. So, we reached out to the store via email. In response, they told us that they did not have the part we needed in stock. Instead, they offered us either Ā£20 in cash or a Ā£30 voucher and suggested that we find the missing part in local stores ourselves.
Doesn't that sound completely unreasonable? I purchased a brand-new product, yet they sent me defective and incomplete materials. Now, my house is filled with unassembled pieces, and I cannot use the product. On top of that, they expect me to search for the missing part in local stores.
This has been one of the worst purchase experiences I have ever had. If my issue is not resolvedāwhich seems unlikely at this pointāI will pursue legal action.

My mixer only had a speed adjustment issue, which I sent to warranty service. They returned it bent. The cord was cut, and the lid was not properly assembled. Iām sending it back for replacement, letās see what happens. If possible, stay away from them

I bought a laptop online. All seemed fine at first. Delivery date was set but no delivery came. Then I received an email to say my delivery was missed and that this product was no longer in stock.
Not sure why I couldnāt have been informed of this sooner? But ok these things happen.
I was given the option of a refund or replacement. I opted for a refund to which I was told was processed and would be returned to me within 3-5 working days.
5 working days passed and still no sign of a refund, and no explanation as to why. When I contacted the same person who had been dealing with my order from the start they then told me that they canāt help and I need to contact customer service. (They didnāt provide any contact info for customer service either)
Iāve been jumping through hoops to get my money back for an order that they cocked up from the start. It feels like theyāre going out of their way to make this as awkward and time consuming for me as possible.
Also I have still not received the refund. I donāt know if theyāre trying to scam me or if they are really this incompetent..
Avoid at all costs!!

25 days ago since my last review regarding the recall of a dehumidifier which was at risk of going on fire. They could not repair or replace it back in August and their Customer Services Representative told me I'd need to submit a legal letter to them during my very first phone call with them because despite not having put in a complaint with them yet I'd reached the end of their "complaints procedure". Absolutely ridiculous. They advised on the 13th of November their escalations team would be in touch 22 days on I am still awaiting an email from them. It's been 3 months without use of the product. I can't imagine the hassle you would have if one of their products broke when this is the treatment you receive when something is being recalled. The dehumidifier has still not been collected. I've received no money back. I've received no details of how to escalate my complaint - as per their "policy".

Paid £170 for my mixer to be repaired. The mixer was returned to me in the same broken state after 2 months.
I returned the mixer explaining it was still broken. They took the mixer back, and quoted another 2 months.
6 months of chasing later, they finally agreed that they lost my mixer.
After threatening legal action, they refunded my £170 for the repair fee.
Now 2 months on, someone called Mark is chasing me for the £170 repair fee again, despite them losing my £500 machine.

I'm looking at the reviews on here and I can only use my experience with the company, I purchased a dehumidifier from their Amazon site and it wasn't working properly, I contacted the company and have to say the communication was second to none, fantastic, they replaced the unit without any fuse, I will definitely use this company again.

Seriously - spent 30 minutes this morning trying to get through to Buy It Direct. No one answers phones and no messaging service works on their website!
Tried local number as well as premium rate number and nothing.
I'm happy with item ordered, but it didn't come with any documents ie a receipt - which I need for the Taxman grr.
Won't use again now!

Joke of a ācompanyā I would give minus 1 stars if I could. Have no patience with the customer ādonāt careā team. They emailed me on the 3rd of October that the dehumidifier that I purchased a year ago is on recall. They said they organized city air express to collect it, this didnāt happen at least 4 times. I would call them after each time the courier didnāt come to pick up the faulty dehumidifier, they kept blaming city air express, that they put in the collection order but didnāt know why city air express didnāt come to pick it up. A mystery!! A manager Mary rang me to say that the matter has been escalated and that if I want updates on the situation to ring buyitdirect and ask for her. When I rang them, the incompetent ācareā staff told me it was against the company policy to speak to a specific person. Wtf, another lie by this great company. Today is the 06/12/2024 , I have confirmed with city air express that their courier is indeed coming today, however he is booked to come to a different address (one that I lived at a year ago and is a 50 minute drive from my house! Also buyitdirect gave the wrong phone number to the city air express ) when I rang buyitdirect to ask what address the courier is coming, they lied through their teeth and said the address I requested⦠it is currently 14:30 and I have not had a call from city air express to say they are picking up the parcel, so the war continuesā¦..if I can add to this review, I will update. Update: 07/01/2025 - they have organised DPD to collect it today... TBC
