This is the second year running we’ve eaten at the Bull on Christmas Day. It’s so much better getting someone else to do all the cooking so we can enjoy the day and gain precious time back with the children. Not to mention you pulled the stops out this year with gifts for the children and entertainment for them. Karen our waitress was very attentive to our needs and the dinner was yummy. Thank you for nailing it once again.

We had a great afternoon and evening at the Bull, to celebrate our recent engagement. We first spoke to the manager Adam who was available at the entrance to greet us he has taken over the pub 2 months ago and already putting his stamp on it. He has assembled a fantastic team where the service is excellent and the food exquisite. We had the sharing platter to start where the calamari was excellent. I had the fish and chips they were superb and my Fiancée had the sirloin steak medium rare it was perfectly cooked to perfection the addition of the peppercorn sauce made it even nicer. For desert I had the mini brownie with A coffee and she had the chocolate fondant which was described as chocolate heaven and sublime. We will be going back in the near future.

Ally our waitress was very helpful - a gluten free specialist. She was very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was lovely particularly the giant yorkshire pudding with the roast - great value for money. We would definitely recommend this place.

Good food, great service (from Karen), prices OK. We all want them to be cheaper don't we ? But good old Tesco vouchers, so the £10 to £20 food was in reality almost nothing.

Atmosphere was good, middle of the afternoon, so it was fairly quiet.

I'm a single guy and had a flavour for a Sunday roast, even though you were fully booked I was able to grab a table for 1.5hr to enjoy lunch. I can't thank Callum enough.

We both enjoyed the new menu. The black berry balsamic glaze is unbelievable! Great to see The Bull still going strong for our annual Valentine's visit. Thanks to our friendly server Ally for looking after us. See you again soon.

My wife and I used to like The Bull but won't be returning anytime soon and would no longer recommend it. We arrived and stood for more than 5mins with two ladies behind neither acknowledged us or said just be a minute only one was serving another customer. We eventually got seen to and sat at a table. Not asked about or provided with usual allergy options (my wife is gluten intolerant). We then ordered two burgers that were both rare in the middle (if you are going to cook them like that you should ask how you want it), I got literally about 10 chips (to be far I the waitress did bring me some more when I mentioned it). I hope you agree though as per the picture that it does not look like £16 meal.
