Nice busy shop by the station and the perfect quick snack before the hike. The salt beef bagel was really tender and the bagel was soft and chewy. It’s a bit on the pricer side but understandable given the cost of living crisis.

Great little bagel shop near the station. The ingredients are fresh and the portion is generous. When you walk in the shop you’ll see the attractive bacon, ham and cheese together with all types of veggies in the counter.

The signature bagel - NY LOX’s smoke salmon is so much that half of them is outside the bagel bun! The taste is classic with the cream cheese. The salt beef slices in the RUEBEN bagel is soft and tender but full of flavour. The beef goes well with the melted cheese.

We went just before 12:00 noon and there was a small queue in the shop with many customers came for their weekend brunch. We didn’t try the desserts and the cakes but them looks good as well.

The bagels are so juicy so don’t forget to pick up the napkins from the counter with you!

We came here to do a hike at Epping Forest from Theydon Bois. The shop is very close to the tube station along the High Street.

It is a great place if you want to take some food for picnic along the hike.

We chose the salty beef and New York lox (smoked salmon). There are three slices of salty beef. It looks very delicious. The salmon one is also very tasty. the portion is quite okay.

Meh. Went there yesterday at about 4.45. Asked the woman behind the counter if she had onion bagels. She smirked and said, "Oh you're much too late for all THAT" . They only had plain left. She then went out of her way to let me know that they close at 5 p.m. (in other words hurry up) and then said "We don't take card payments under £5". Not sorry, not I'm afraid we don't have onion bagels/take card payments etc. Just rudeness and condescension, and to top it off the bagel (which she had manhandled with her bare hands) was just OK, nothing special. I don't know why I didn't just walk out.

Easy to get to and in a nice part of the world , this bagel shop has a lot going for it . The service is personal with knowledgeable staff who know the foods available. The location is in a secondary local group of shops , giving it a calm feel adding to the experience. The food is top class with plenty of different fillings , including lobster or chicken schnitzel , and on a good sunny day you can sit outside and enjoy! Why go to the inner London shops when you can get the same food in the suburbs ? And in my opinion better quality!

Came for 1st time this morning, was greeted by 2 lovely warm ladies.
We ordered warm salt beef bagel, it came with mustard/pickle on a large fresh bagel.
My husband had tuna crunch, which was toasted with cheese in a large fresh bagel.
Both bagels were generous portions with fresh ingredients & tasted delicious.
All the fresh ingredients are in the serving window for you to see, there is a huge choice on the menu for such a small shop which was brilliant. We also had 2 coffees it came to £17:50 which I thought was good value. Will definitely be returning.

£5 for a 20p tesco brioche bun with a single slice of cheese and ham? No thanks, I could make the same thing at home. Better yet, I could go to Yilditz Cafeteria in Archway and have a delicious spinach and feta gozleme for around £4, which I'm sure shocks the owners of this establishment considering nothing on their menu is under £4.50.
Save your money, go to literally any supermarket and assemble the same thing this shop sells you for a fraction of the price.
