We popped in today to purchase wood to make a little ladder for the cat. We received fabulous service from young lad called Steve with great hair. Many thanks for your patience and for even cutting the wood. Please acknowledge Steve for his extra mile in customer care.

A typically vast store with a generally good selection of items. Some, however, have been on the shelves for a long time and are either covered in dust or beginning to rust. The garden centre is moderate, and often decent plants just sit and die due to a lack of water. Staff are OK, but there's always an exception, such as the "lady" on the checkout, who recounted a long and rambling story about finding barcodes on items that was laden with every swear-word imaginable. Luckily, there weren't any children around!

Garden design.... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
Lad who does it, knows absolutely nothing about anything to do with gardening! What they do and don't stock. Sizes of anything, how to install or what you need to install... he's basically frigging useless ?‍♂️ don't bother

Needed to go and buy some additional fence paint.
We didnt get there till after 7pm .The store wasnt busy,very tidy and well presented ,as you walk through the front entrance.And then throughout , as we reached a well stocked isle ,we found what we wanted .
Probably the fastest visit ever.

My friend and I were in B&Q Chester on Friday 21st June..we were purchasing some wood etc , We were served by a young lad Mattie .. He was brilliant with us (as we didn’t really know what we were doing) He went beyond what he needed to do to help us.. Thank you Mattie Fantastic member of staff

Made a call to the store about furniture as I couldn't find the type I needed and the lad wasn't arsed and just kept telling me to go online because he doesn't know anything. What a plonker. I had been online and had no luck. You would think he would familiarise himself with the stock he sells people. Plonker.

Went into my local b&q yesterday for a new blade for my electric plane and nearly fell on the floor with the cost that they were charging £18.16 for two tho went to wickes right next door and got the same blades for £7.20 maybe in different packaging but do the trick .
So warning check prices with local shops because b&q are not

Had an issue with cancelling an order, and getting a refund. Jack was brilliant! But the reason for the 2 star is because of how unhelpful and rude Geoff was in the kitchen department.
