I’ve recently moved to Rickinghall & had the great pleasure of enjoying my first fish & chips a few weeks ago which was excellent except unfortunately my cod was missing from my order which is why I’ve only given 4 stars & I didn’t realise until I’d got home ?thankfully my husband had ordered a large cod so we could share but thought I better let you know. It certainly won’t stop me from visiting again?

We had cad and chips for two, the fish was excellent as was the service and online ordering system. I give only 4 stars as the chips were past their best, but I'd certainly use the shop again.

Always excellent friendly service and absolutely first class Fish (other products are available on the menu) be prepared to wait a little while when the shop is busy as everything is cooked fresh.

We had cod and chips tonight and it was the best we’ve had in a long time. Lovely crispy batter, very tasty cod and the chips were crisp and fluffy. The only negative was the curry sauce; it was gloopy and fairly tasteless. We’ll definitely be returning.

Very friendly owner who cheerfully cooked fresh food for me even whe I showed up near closing time and still had time for a chat.
Apparently the menu has been stripped back by the hew owner to stick to the basics and make what he does the best he can make it.
Job done.
Plaice and cod cooked to perfection in nicely seasoned batter, served with optional lemon wedges. Chips were perfectly done too and a large portion was perfect for two to share.
Nicely done Chef, I'll be back soon for more.

Chip shop closed on hurs despite hrs saying it is open.
They font do delivery now which is hard for me as there is nowhere to park and I'm disabled so it's difficult, and would be good if there was a delivery.
Food is great though, good service inside and friendly atmosphere.

I popped in here with my family after a long day of exploring locally. Friendly hello met us, and my two boys eagerly ordered their food. As we only had the car we took advantage of the little tables in the waiting room. The chips and the batter were delicious. I normally stay away from the batter, but here it was delicious. Not greasy, but crisps and crunchy. The chips were likewise. Even my younger son who is a not a hearty eater finished up his and declared “delicious”. If you like fish and chips, this little place is well worth a visit, you won’t be disappointed.
