A fantastic, local habedashery. A brilliant range of fabrics (inc garment, curtain & upholstery), ribbons, wool and everything needed for dress making and curtain making. I will absolutely be returning. Worth travelling to, as so few of these lovely shops are still on the High Street.

Had a fault with the mechanism on our bathroom blind. The makers no longer made the part but Bakers took it away and mended it. First class service!

Sarah was more than amazing. We had just moved into the area & had had a very disappointing & distressing encounters with neighbours forbidding my disabled daughter & i from parking in the road where we lived. She explained to me some aspects of where we lived that I was unaware of & I left feeling that there was at least one human being in Stepfordville…

Went to this shop for the first time last Monday with a friend, and what an amazing place. It had an array of beautiful fabrics and everything one needs for sewing or being creative. The manager was absolutely brilliant and soo helpful. Her customer service was second to none.

I would encourage anyone who sews to visit this haven of delight.

I had heard about this shop from fellow sewists, so when we visited Haslemere for other reasons I popped in to check it out. The most impressive aspect of it for me was the range of notions and haberdashery. A splendid selection of zips caught my eye, as well as wonderful ribbons and lace trims, and many different kinds of interfacing. I was looking for buttons for a jacket I'd made, and they had exactly what I wanted, so that in itself made the journey worthwhile! The dressmaking fabric choice is necessarily limited as they carry lots of furnishing fabrics, but I honestly don't need any more fabric, so perhaps that's a good thing... This shop is a delight and I am sure I shall be visiting again in the future.

About 5min before any staff became visible, and he really knew very little about the crafts they sell. Their range looks good and well stocked, but you need to know what you want.
