?✨ Our daughter's 12th birthday at Ashwell & Co was truly a day to remember! ? Kate and Will, our gracious hosts, created a magical afternoon tea experience. Kate's incredible kindness and Will's expertise made for a perfect celebration in their delightful vintage shop and tearoom.

From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the beautiful interiors and the delightful aroma of freshly baked scones. ? You have to be there to truly appreciate the atmosphere – pictures don't do it justice! ?

The space beautifully blends vintage charm with a cozy tearoom ambiance, complete with great music. ?

The vegetarian sandwiches were a refreshing change, and the sweets were the stars of the show. Everything on the menu is lovingly handmade or locally sourced, from the bread and cakes to the scones and their signature homemade clotted cream. ❤️ Each bite reflects the care and dedication to providing a unique and traditional afternoon tea experience. ?

The extensive tea selection is served on exquisite China and lace tablecloths, adding to the charm. We also loved exploring their collection of original 1930s to 1960s dresses, jumpers, tops, and eclectic objets d'art. The vintage wedding dresses are simply stunning!

Kate and Will's warm hospitality made us feel like home. The girls enjoyed their time so much, not only around the table but also on the comfy couch, creating wonderful memories. ?️?

Thank you, Kate and Will, for making our daughter’s 12th birthday so special. This will be a cherished keepsake for us as we are leaving Bristol!

Ashwell & Co made my whole wedding dress experience stress free and super enjoyable. This was the first and only dress shop I visited, Kate and the team there are amazing, so accommodating, and I felt at ease the whole time. Pia the seamstress is an absolute genius! She understood exactly how I wanted the dress to be altered, how I needed it to fit, and my general overall vision. I could not be happier and cannot recommend this wonderful gem of a boutique enough! Thank you Ashwell & Co ❤️

As soon as we stepped into the shop I felt completely comfortable. (I'm a very shy person.)

There were several dresses preselected from the description of what I said I was looking for. One of the dresses I simply didn't want to take off. I was able to take photos of me in the dress and showed my family and friends in Australia where I'm from. All of my friends and family said the dress was just me.

I came back to the shop while people were having afternoon tea and they became part of the try on the dress again viewing. It was just an overall amazing experience that felt like a hug. I'm glad I looked off the high street. When they say you'll know when you find the dress you really do.

The dress will be worn in Germany where I'll be marrying my German partner. The dress is just me. Me doing life my way never felt so good!

Kate was the perfect person to support me in finding my wedding dress- she struck the perfect balance between giving advice and suggestions, listening to what I was saying (as well as what I wasn’t saying!) about each dress and stepping back to let me decide and explore different options. When I found a dress I loved, she was able to give recommendations for a seamstress, who did a fabulous job altering it to make it my perfect dress. From start to finish, it was a totally joyful process and I’m so glad I decided to buy one here!

Stunning afternoon tea in the cutest vintage shop. Incredible value with gluten free and vegan options. Everything is made in house—they even make their own clotted cream (and it was divine)! The tea menu is well curated with several herbal infusion options. The host was friendly and very accommodating. A really lovely, unique experience.

Absolutely fantastic afternoon tea. Will you are a genius with the sandwich fillings and delicious cakes. Tea infused scones were yummy too.
I was also lucky enough to find my beautiful wedding dress here 2 years ago. By far the best wedding dress shopping experience ever. I LOVE my dress and still wear it on holiday now. Thanks Kate.

I had the most lovely afternoon tea (the special Valentine’s weekend edition) at Ashwell & Co! The space is a perfect mix of vintage eclectic and tea room, great music for ambiance, and the food was lovely!
I go to many afternoon teas (it’s a bit of an obsession) so I have pretty high expectations at this point. I liked, since they only serve vegetarian sandwiches, that you get a lighter change of pace from traditional tea sandwiches, but the sweets are really the stars. The scone was so lovely, one of the better I’ve had in a while, homemade clotted cream and delicious moist cakes. To top it all off the price is incredibly reasonable for the food and service experience! Excited to come back in the future.
