On the 20th April 2024, I came into difficulty on the forecourt of this petrol station when my car started leaking petrol that I had just filled up with. Another customer helped me raise the alarm and asked the staff (there were only two male members of staff present at the time, one on the till and one in a more supervisory role) to assist me with making it safe. There was a queue forming and I asked if I could pay my bill so I could move my car away from the forecourt and get help for myself and my vehicle - for context, I was unwell and in the early stages of pregnancy so trying to keep calm and not get stressed.
The two members of staff did not seem confident at all with what health and safety measures needed to be taken but did put sand down over the spillage. I was told I couldn't pay my bill because they had needed to shut down the pump I was using. The member of staff behind the till started to complain about the shift he was working and then told me abruptly to leave the premises which I promptly did, as the customer who had started out by helping me was now causing a scene. I took the car to a place of safety, called for help etc and once I could return to the petrol station (about 30-40 minutes later) I did so to pay my bill.

When I entered the station, the supervisory member of staff met me at the door. I explained I was the young woman who had come into difficulty earlier but that I had returned to sort my bill out and he informed me that I was too late. He had reported me as a drive off and that I should expect a fine. I became very upset by this as I had tried to do the right thing and was met with rudeness, lack of empathy and no care or consideration during the earlier incident or now. I asked him why he did this when he knew I was in difficulty, and he said he didn't think the fine would impact me and that I had missed the 30 minute cut off to pay (which no one had told me earlier about). An £80 fine did impact me and I think would impact most people.

I found the customer service that day to be nothing short of appalling. I have actively avoided using this petrol station since - you don't forget the way you are treated by someone. The station was clearly understaffed, & the staff had a lack of appropriate training for such an incident. In that moment I was a young vulnerable pregnant woman in need of some support to resolve an unforeseen problem and instead of being shown some basic care and compassion, I was met with this.

Mis-priced items. On numerous occasions I have taken items to the till and been charged more than the ticket price. It's happened that often that it's hard to believe it is an honest mistake. If it happens again I will be reporting it to the police. If it is some kind of sales tactic by ASDA then it's a sick one as people are struggling enough with the price of every day items, and ASDAs profits are through the roof.

The Co-op that was there before was so much better in terms of stock, deals and feeling generally pleasant to go inside. Unfortunately, the ASDA expressed is very overpriced when compared to the general supermarkets and previous Co-op shop, even the fuel is steep. A complete downgrade 🙁

Shelves half empty - for 2 days running there are no potatoes or fresh potato products & the fruit & veg is half empty - items are over priced, lots of ‘brands’ rather than more economical own branded products…and no reward scheme! I used this store a lot when it was Coop, I detest it as Asda & it’s now a last resort!

The excellent value craft beer deal has gone from here, even though still in main stores. It was advertised as 3 for £6 but the sign was wrongly placed and apparently applied to lagers. There used to be a decent 4-for-3 deal, it's a shame it's gone and is mispriced.

Being a college student, I wouldn't expect to be stalked while trying to shop and forced to stand outside waiting for available space when every adult is allowed in. Multiple incidents where I am told to wait outside by the worker regularly placed at the doors, she has said to wait until there is less people, so I do. Then 3 adults at different times approach are are let in with no problems, even after asking if they can go in and the woman says of course. I watch her go up to 2 teenagers are say "hurry up you are being rude" after briefly being allowed in before me and they are actively looking at food to buy. Finally I am allowed to go in and she follows me, even going to the end of the isle I'm in constantly and looking at me. I understand teenagers can often steal but being a regular and a college student, I should expect to be treated like someone trusted by now, and not less than all adults. There was very little people in there when I went in. She has approached me and other friends telling us to hurry up. One of my friends actually just left without any food for lunch because they were constantly being circled. This is ridiculous. Expensive despite being surrounded by schools for lunch by the way. I am utterly appalled by extremely obvious prejudice and rudeness of this one particular person on all occasions. The rest of the staff are kind.

Been mostly a good shop with deals and discounts but I've had recent bad experiences with staff here. I'm in my second year of college and have been forced to wait outside several times while others are let in because of my "age" only to be followed around and told to hurry up once let in after less then 2 minutes. Have been going here since it changed hands and only started having this problem the past few weeks, hope it gets sorted out as I'd rather not go here than be micro-managed during my morning shop.

I am an 18-year-old college student who goes to one of the schools close by, I just want to get qualifications and be treated the same. I usually have no time to make food for lunches as I am usually busy studying so every morning I go to this location to buy lunch. Although ever since the takeover I have seen a decline in respect and gratitude and just common human kindness to the store's younger customers. For example every single day there is a lady at the door who makes me wait outside sun, rain, or snow even though I'm on a tight schedule to get to school, however, the shocking bit is that the lady at the door only lets in people who are clearly above the age of 18 in whenever they want and do not make them wait even if I have been waiting outside I get in after adults who are allowed in straight away. When I am allowed in I am often pressured to leave as soon as possible and have been asked to "hurry up" and that "I'm being rude" for just deciding after only being inside for a few minutes. I am appalled and will no longer be going here every day this is ridiculous service and very unprofessional. I strongly recommend that people (especially under the age of 20) do not visit this store.
