Our local Asda is a solid choice for the weekly shop, earning a well-deserved four stars. The quality of the goods is consistently excellent, from fresh produce to frozen. We've also found the customer service to be of a high standard, with staff usually friendly and eager to help. The main frustrations can be finding sometimes-missing items on shelves and occasionally noticing they seem a little understaffed, which can lead to wait times. However, the positive aspects of quality and service generally outweigh these minor issues, making it our reliable go-to supermarket.

Abhorrent service from Asda. Ordered 3 items on Uber at 6pm for them to be delivered at 9pm. Delivery estimate when I ordered was 45 minutes and then was told I couldn’t cancel it as I wouldn’t get a refund after 2 hours of sitting around. If you can’t cope then remove the platform instead of lying to customers and destroying your reputation.

It is almost impossible to get a shopping basket in this place and you need to spend solid few minutes to hunt for one. Finding the right product and its location also proves challenging, as many products are not necessary in the location you'd expect them to be. That is, if they are even available at all. Shop has poor selection of products. No in-store bakery means all products in this section are rubbery and tasteless and DIY section is just a random mess of mostly useless products. Getting all the vegatables you might need to cook your dish is a lottery, you may find them, or you may not, good luck. Probably the only well supplied section is alcohol, so you can get drunk and forget that you ever decided to visit the place.

This store was never the best but it’s really gone downhill recently. Lack of stock especially fruit and veg. Their scan and shop is always crashing so you end up having to scan the items again. Customer service desk has no staff so you have to go to the cigarette/lottery kiosk.
Awful store.
Oh and all their trolleys are knackered.

Absolutely shocking service at birchwood asda this morning (Tue 14th January) you have 3 staff having a mother's meeting & looking at me as if I 2 heads when I needed assistance at the self checkout. I have had several issues with lazy staff at birchwood nothing will change.

Not that long walk to a bus stop, second closest to mine after moving last month. Just your busy supermarket as it is the only big supermarket chain in Birchwood

Ordered through Deliveroo. Order picker FOLDED a pizza in half to squeeze it into an already half full bag. This is the third time this has happened on recent orders. Asda are capable of packing them properly, as undamaged pizzas have been ordered and received before, so why have they have decided that folding them and splitting the base (making them impossible to cook without half of the topping ending up on the floor of the oven) is a good idea? It clearly ruins it! Deliveroo did offer an immediate refund, but I'm not ordering items just to get a refund and have it thrown straight in the bin.

EDIT:

Further to your reply, I'm glad to see that you looked into the poor packing of your order pickers, Chris. The box of the pie is exactly as I would have expected it to have been delivered and is without doubt the one I would have selected myself instore. I mean, who in their right mind would ever expect their food to be in decent condition and not crushed? It's not like food is expensive or anything at the moment and who doesn't just love throwing food away?! Keep it up Asda and Chris... 10/10 for effort(!)

I really don't mind this store, but WHY the loud music?
I'm sure NOBODY listens to the bloody racket.
I prefer Sainsburys, peaceful, quiet well ordered, a pleasant experience in comparison!
