Beyond believable and trustworthy. I have ordered something from Argos and first time they lost my parcel. I have ordered it as pick up in store when submitted my second order. Sadly nearest one is Argos Eastmayne that was available for the delivery. I submitted the order on the 5th May and I was advised on ordering that it will be ready for the 8th May to collect in-store. On the evening on the 9th May I have received email that my item is ready to collect. On the 10th afternoon I went to pick up, however I have found same item elsewhere so bought it in the store so I was going to return this purchase immediately. In the store they opened the parcel and I could see they were scanning return labels. They gave me the pick up slip but never return slip. I done rest of my shopping at Sainsbury's and still didn't receive my email proof of return. I stopped at Argos and asked for tangible proof of return before I leave as I will be unable to have any proof if something happens. Store manager assured me that he will process the items and I will get the refund shortly and it is no longer shop policy to provide printed material. Today is 15th May and still no message or proof of return. I have contacted Argos customer service who got in touch with the store. Shop assistant lied that as it was over 5 days and they keep items only for 5 days, however it's day 5 and to their policy they should keep it in store. They will now need to contact the depot to try to find the item if they received which I doubt will happen and will take up to 30 days to get refund to PayPal.

Rude staff one in particular. Was told couldn't spend nectar points without a physical card but we have the card on the nectar app with the card number. Went to another store and got the same item with the nectar points on the app. I think they need more training and better
customer service.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at the East Mayne Argos, which has profoundly affected my view of their customer service and respect for consumer rights.

On purchasing a power adapter for my MacBook Air, recommended by Argos' own website, I discovered it was faulty upon first use. Expecting a straightforward return process, I was met with a series of unfortunate interactions that were anything but.

Firstly, a staff member named Amy denied my refund request, citing the reason as the product being opened, despite its defectiveness. This is a clear misunderstanding or misapplication of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which entitles customers to a refund on faulty goods within 30 days of purchase.

Seeking resolution, I requested to speak with a manager and was approached by Kelly. Kelly's manner was unprofessional and dismissive from the outset. Without any introduction, she insisted that I would not receive a refund, disregarding the factual circumstances of the product's faultiness. Her demeanor was unnecessarily aggressive, and her customer service approach was severely lacking, not to mention her misrepresentation of her managerial status.

The situation escalated when Kelly, incorrectly asserting her authority, instructed another staff member to begin recording the interaction without a valid reason, adding to the distress of the situation. Further interaction with Argos customer service, specifically with individuals named Sisonke and Waheed, added to the confusion with misleading information and a lack of understanding regarding the legal standards for refunds.

This series of interactions not only highlights a significant gap in staff training on customer service and consumer rights but also a concerning lack of accountability and professionalism at this Argos location. It's disheartening to witness such disregard for customer satisfaction and legal obligations. My confidence in Argos and its commitment to customer service has been severely shaken by this incident.

I hope this feedback prompts Argos to take serious action towards improving their customer service standards and training, ensuring no other customer has to undergo a similar experience.

Very poor system causing long queues . The click and collect was the same queue as returns and orders. A quick pop in had me waiting 20 minutes. I was fortunate as when I finally got served the queue had extended down a shopping isle. Won’t be going there again in a while.
Never had this problem before at other stores. Why click and collect? Saved no time at all.
