It was important to us to find an evening caterer that was local to our venue. We had sampled Farmer Lou’s sausages in the past and decided that a hog roast and BBQ would have a broad appeal for our wedding guests.

The Farmer Lou team was very flexible in working around our other suppliers and tweaking timings when our day was running slightly behind.

Although the email communication was as good as you would expect from a busy working farm, the food and quality of service were second to none. They provided generous portions and an array of salads and sauces: every single thing they put on your plate was excellent. The only regret we have as the wedding couple is that we weren’t hungrier!

Had a rib of beef and it melted in the mouth, full of flavour and lots left over for sandwiches. It's so good to be able to see where your food comes from. I'll definitely be back for another joint!

This farm shop has fresh produce for a fabulous price.

I bought some chilli jam, which was devine and some leak & pork sausages, which we're tasty and very juicy.

No pics as already eaten the produce. The lady who served us was very polite and answered our questions with ease, thankyou x

We bought some sausages and steak burgers here today. The sausages were unquestionably some of the best I’ve had in years. The steak burgers at 4 for £6.40 were inedible. Never had worse! Seriously. There were lumps of totally inedible gristle and some strange stringy body parts that were simply disgusting. We threw most of the two we barbecued away and have two in the freezer. Farmer Lou, I would really hesitate to feed meat like that to a dog. If you want me to bring the two frozen burgers back, just let me know. Not bothered about the money, you just need better quality control.

Had a fantastic hog roast from their food truck, was packed with pork and the stuffing was great. My eldest devoured one of their hot dogs as well which is always a great sign! Well recommended!

Bought a steak pie for the weekend. Absolutely great. Tasty tasty. Pastry lovely. It had gravy in it which was really really tasty - like proper gravy

Bought roast hog £6.5 and hot dogs £4 each from their food truck in Corby.
The roast hog was cold, dry and tasteless. Literally a bite of pulled pork inside a cheap white bap; not worth it and totally overpriced in my view.
Hot dogs not much better, burned sausage inside cheap white roll.
Won't buy from them again.

Had a hot dog today, which was tastless, and a hog roast which was so dry, in a tiny bun.... well overpriced for the quality received.... very disappointing ?
