Used this bakery twice whilst here on holiday. It rather takes me back as a child in the 1970s, and I say that in a good way. There are a number of types of fresh loaves, and they slice it for you, along with buns/rolls and various cakes to choose from. The only downside I came across is they don't use fresh cream, but the mock cream is not too bad, in comparison to the artificial cream of the 70's. Service was with a smile, and would happily use again if I was ever back in the area again.

We stayed at the place across the road which was awful. The bakery was the best part of my 3 day trip. So quintessentially placed and old fashioned looking. Just what I expect from a traditional village shop. Everyone was queuing outside patieintly so I knew I must be in the right place. Instantly on entering this was confirmed such friendly welcome and warm people who chatted away to me as an outsider. I bought cakes and bread mostly ate on return home in London. So delicious. I'm afraid I can't drive there to get my goodies every weekend but when in town its so worth a visit. The bread was so fresh and everything was delicious. Thankyou and don't change a thing.

The best doughnuts I've ever tasted. Awesome Belgian buns and very nice pasties. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. They take cards too.
