A great butchers. I go for for their pies.
They're all good but treat yourself to the Lamb, mint and apple. Or time your visit for the Pork Pies coming fresh out of the oven. Brilliant.

These pies are AMAZING! Better than pies I’ve bought from Fortnum & Mason, much better, in fact. They’re so scrumptious I’d drive a good few miles to buy some. I just wish they offered mail order! They taste organic and the overall experience of eating them is just delicious. A definite‘must try’ when in the area. We visited a few years ago & popped in on our way back to Barrowford. Well Done on creating such wonderful quintessentially British cuisine!

Wonderful quantity meats, pies and deli products. The pies are amazing and made fresh every day. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the staff always are cheerful. Home made bacon and local eggs are available too. This is a very popular butchers, with customers coming from miles around to stock up, so be prepared for a queue on Saturday morning.

Always telling everyone how good the pies are from here . Called in yesterday for some steak pies , having friends round for pie and peas . First time we have been really disappointed, hardly any filling at all .

There are pork pies, then there are Roy Porter pork pies, you will never get better ones anywhere. A 36 mile round trip for me to get them, that's how good they are.

The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. And the meat.....WOW, you can tell the difference between supermarket meat. And those hot steak pies....they're to die for, homemade by skilled hands and the filling.....mmmmm nice. 5 star rating all the way. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐?

It's an award-winning local butcher shop, where people know what you are doing. They source local (or Yorkshire) Dexter or Aberdeen beef, and you can really taste the difference. But the selection of products they offer is broad: the hot pies are made at the shop and are very good, there is a selection of jams and sauces from Mrs Darlington, and many other bits. The cheeses are perhaps not as good as in Booths, but this is first and foremost the butcher's shop - and it's best for perhaps 30-50 miles

Called in on the recommendation of one of my customers after delivering furniture to Downham. Excellent produce, the steak and kidney pie was perfect, quiche tastiest I've had. Pork pie... The best! I'll definitely call again when in the area.
