Very kind and helpful staff, Ben taught me a useful fix for my switch. Which, turns out, was a rather common issue and my switch was, in fact, not broken. Swift and easy service, highly recommend!

Came in on sat to see if the guys could have a look at my son's game boy that was having issues. Looked at it straight away and sorted problem within mins, no charge!!
We go regularly as my son is into retro gaming and there's tons of stuff to cater for all tastes at good prices. Brilliant shop nothing like it, friendly helpful staff.

Easily my favourite shop, John and Ben are both exceptionally friendly and very knowledgeable, I am often tempted to come in here just for a chat as the atmosphere is so friendly. I have been going to this shop for 4+ years now, and you can believe all of the 5* reviews, as there is a massive amount of retro and modern video games and Consoles, DVD/Blu Rays, CDs, Comic Books, and Collectibles (such as action figures, trading cards, Lego sets, and countless other things I can't think of from the top of my head) and if you ever need anything the staff are always willing to help and find what you are looking for.

I have only ever had one issue with something I bought from these guys (and this is out of probably at least 100+ visits I have made to this store), and they were so understanding and helpful, rectifying the issue immediately and could not apologise enough.

Overall this is a really fantastic store and the guys who run it are so down to earth and generally lovely that I would honestly recommend anyone to visit, my Mum even wants to visit at some point as she knows how happy I have been and much I love this place, and she isn't even that fond of coming to Birkenhead, nevermind video game/retro stores!

I hope this place stays open forever! ?

This is not only the coolest retro game shop I've ever been in but the staff are really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Bought in person and had them mail out to me and absolutely faultless service

I stand by these guys for everything they do, absolutely brilliant service, lovely people in the shop great prices on everything and they even fixed my playstation five by the next day of me putting it in, (full hdmi replacement) absolute legends the lot of them

Different class to other retro game shops, I've been to quite a few up and down country (work commitments). This is right up there, the quality and quantity of retro items is crazy. I've never seen in one place such a collection of boxed items, especially the N64 games. Picked up a couple of gamecube games to add to the collection and a GREY Super Nintendo, had my eye on one for a while but was having difficulty finding one that wasn't yellow! if you know, you know...

The PS1 games were mostly mint in case, and we all know what those plastic cases are like for cracking.

The gameboy games were mostly EU platforms which seems to be getting more rare these days as all online seem to be USA models.

Haven't seen the pokemon yellow gameboy colour since I was a kid, that was good to find.

The owner had plenty of time to speak, nice to have the knowledge base behind the till, as he explained to me why the SN yellows, I had no idea!

Can't review on the comic books and other items as I'm only into the gaming side but the stock looked plentiful and in good condition.

Hopefully work will have me in the area again so I can pop by!

Amazing shop, with amazing staff. An absolute gem of a place. Visit at least once a month and never leave empty handed. Paradise if you love films, retro gaming and quality related, rare merchandise.
