This has been a long standing delicatessen in Pocklington. Great selection including meats, pastries and wine. Very friendly staff. They bake a lot of their own pastries. Definitely worth a visit and there'll be something you come out with! Highly recommended.

Birthday picnic today all from No. 6 The Pavement in Pocklington.

I would totally recommend this place . The staff are excellent and really know their stuff. The quiche (red pepper and goats' cheese) delicious (my teenager ate four slices). Sandwiches, posh crisps, sausage rolls and a selection of drinks all added to the impressive spread . The best bit though was the selection of cakes all boxed up ready for transport to the beach . The caramel shortbread is superb ! Thanks so much more making our birthday picnic perfect.

My experience of 6 the pavement goes back to when Chris and Anne-Marie first took over,and they are the best friends I have had, still are, Chris delivers my order on a Saturday, and far from being snooty couldn't be further from the truth, when I collapsed in the shop a few years ago, they couldn't have done more, arranged everything and saw me into the Ambulance, brilliant people, give em a try,
