This is the favourite venue of my friend's and I because of the proximity to our city, Cambridge, they bring the best orchestras, is a bigger stage than what we have at home, the acoustics are really good and the organisation of the place is top notch. My friends are more knowledgeable about the qualities I have described since two of them are piano teachers and another one is an advanced piano student. All of them love the venue. About myself, I am in my 3rd year of piano and am in my 2 year of singing and love the place too. The only thing I would like to see improvement is the exit of the car park. It would be nice to have another extra exit.

Off the beaten track but well worth the trip: a small/medium size concert hall which is part of a school. Lots of free parking on-site. Great sight lines and acoustics in the hall

I enjoyed seeing the Britten Sinfonia playing here last night and was pleased that I could afford to do so as a student. Concerts at Saffron hall do not usually offer a student discount and only for under 25s, so I have previously wanted to attend but not had enough money. I really think that Saffron Hall should consider increasing the age limit for discount, a student discount and a discount for those on a low wage in order to increase accessibility of classical music and diversity of the audience. I understand that funding of the arts is tight but I think that allowing audiences to become less and less diverse will be a disaster. Rather, I think creative ways of funding accessible tickets are possible like last minute tickets and stewarding/volunteering schemes.

Went to an evening event/seminar. Hall is part of the adjacent private school, so you would think the upkeep would be covered. But....
Event space is good.
Seating is hit & miss - some seats with good legroom and comfort, others very restricted and uncomfortable. Some have kick-boards which actually restrict space further
Toilets are limited and dirty. I complained about them last time we visited and doesn't look like much has changed.
Bar /service was better than before but think that was due to half the number of visitors. Generally long and poorly managed queues.
Parking is their only saviour.

Saffron Hall is the best concert hall for a hundred mile radius. Too few people know about it. Its world class adjustable acoustic sees world class performers giving concerts to the highest standards at modest pricing. You have to go!!!

Been to many concerts and gigs at the venue and always had a good experience. Easy on site parking, good views of the stage from most seats and acoustics great. A bit crowded in the foyer/bar area at the interval if it’s a full house.

Great acoustics in a comfortable hall with a good view of the stage from all seats. Plenty of parking. Snacks and drinks are available (and you can take them into the auditorium). Allow plenty of time for leaving at the end, since there is always a queue of traffic to get out.
