Myself and my wife have enjoyed our stays at Greenwood Leghe since 2014. Greenwood Leghe is a privately owned park that is managed by the very attentive Stocks family.
The park and its grounds are immaculately maintained and tended by Daniel.
Jayne ensures the Park is managed to a very high standard for the enjoyment of all owners, both with the help of their parents.
A hearty well done and thank you from ourselves.
Greenwood Leghe sets itself apart as it is a Static only park for the pleasure of the static caravan owners and this makes for super relaxed stays.
We have experience of other mixed visitor sites where motor homes and caravans come and go with bustling site offices.
The peacefulness at Greenwood Leghe with its impressive tree lined approach as you enter the park that leads to gently rising grounds where the caravans are sympathetically sited to sit among the many mature trees and shrubs, plus the view of the mountain of Ingleborough.
Greenwood Leghe is situated just outside Ingleton and a short walk takes you to the village. Plus, a recently re-built convenience store/ petrol station on A65 at Ingleton makes for that extra ease for supplies.
We live 80 miles from Ingleton and so having Greenwood Leghe as our base as we set off on our journeys, either by motorcycle or car, visiting many area's of the Dales, Lake District and the Borders. These are such wonderful and scenic area's we are blessed with. For example the road from Stainforth to Halton Gill by bike, motorbike or car 'has it all', just take a picnic and sit an image the glacier as it created this incredible area.

This is a private owners only caravan park - no rentals, and no sublets allowed. So most of your survey questions are not really useful for holidaymakers, though the site owners have two other small parks in the area which I think might have places for tourers.

This is a little gem of a holiday park which i hope will never change. The park is beautiful, so well maintained and so peaceful. I love my visits here and so does my dog, who's far more chilled here than at home. My pitch has the most amazing views of the hills, including Ingleborough and then i also have the joy of watching the sheep and cattle in the fields, the farmer and his dog, the tractors and combine harvesters, and listening to so many different birds too. My grandchildren absolutely love staying here with their nanny and going into Ingleton to the playground, or to clapham for the nature trail, or to settle for a swim. It's the closest I'll ever get to paradise. And the park owners have been really helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend greenwood leghe to anyone in search of a quiet country retreat.

I have been on this site for just over a year and it is the perfect site. Beautifully set out and maintained to a very high standard. The owners do a fantastic job of keeping the site for what it is intended, quiet and relaxing. I can see myself staying here for a few more years yet.

Owned a caravan on this site for several years up to this year . The site is set in a lovely location with great views but that's where the good stuff ends .

The owners are a complete nightmare, rude, againt any fun or kids on site .

Had racist comments too.

I'll elaborate on a few of the reasons I say this .

Had a comment from the owner asking if we came away from our home city of Bradford " to get away from that lot "

Had a close family friend to stay over for a weekend and they were pounced on whist unloading bags and informed that they weren't allowed to stay as sub lettings weren't allowed, when they told the daughter and mother they weren't paying anything they were told " you would say that wouldn't you " . Apparently only immediate family are allowed to stay.

Was emailed a car registration and told an elderly couple were staying , it was actually my parents who had been there many times before.

Was asked by the Owner if I'd seen " them kids playing football on the grass field " I said no and suggested a small playground area as there's nothing at for visiting kids / grandchildren to do on site . The reply was " that's exactly why we don't have one we don't want kids on here " .

These points are genuine issues and we wonder why the owners would be in the business with the attitude they have.

As a result we have now terminated our lease early and purchased another caravan at a different site approximately 1 mile away .

Spoke to several people around Ingleton and the comments are all pretty much the same.

Be very careful before purchasing here .

We've had a static caravan here for almost 15 years. It's a beautiful well maintained site with lovely views over Ingleborough. The family work hard to keep the place looking so beautiful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I've just come off the phone to Mrs Stocks asking for our gas to be replenished prior to our arrival, I have no doubt that it'll be done.
Our grown up kids have just discovered the tranquility of the place and are using it more than us at the moment!!!
Ingleton village is a short distance away, easily walkable if you want to (which I often do). Lovely park there for the little kids and an outdoor swimming pool for the summer. Access the waterfalls walk from the village. Loads to do!!

Peace & quiet within walking distance of Ingleton's offerings. Situated less than a mile from the popular village, this parkland site has large open areas, nicely spaced vans with views of rolling fells, mountains & nature. The long driveway keeps the site away from the A65, helping the peace & tranquility which abound. There's no facilities apart from a couple of dog walking areas and some playing fields. It's a 12 month site, very well managed by a local family who have clear simple rules. This places will suit those who don't need fancy club houses, and prefer local history, walks, and quaint villages.

I visited Greenwood Leghe and was stunned by the scenery and location. Overall I was impressed by how well kept the park was and how spacious it all felt. I happened across some owners sunning themselves on their decking, they echoed my thoughts that the park is peaceful and full of like minded spirits who like to escape the world whenever they like. Thoroughly recommended.
