We have just had a lovely 7 night stay at Low Barn Cottage at Lundholme Farm.
It was perfect for my husband, myself and our dog...it was the change of scenery that we needed.
The cottage itself was lovely and spotlessly clean...and had everything we needed.
Hillary and Malcolm are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.
Upon arrival, Hillary went through some details about the cottage, ie. the heating & thermostat...and also gave us a bit of history the barn pre conversion, which we found really interesting and to also inform us, that they are always available if you need them.
To say that the cottage is on a working farm...we still found it peaceful and location, looking across open fields and the "Three Peaks" in the distance is lovely, especially on sunny spring days. And at nighttime, especially when cloud free, the night sky is mesmerising with all the stars on show.
Also during your stay at Lundholme Farm, Hilary and Malcolm are happy for you to go and see/feed the cows and sheep and whilst we were there, our son brought our grandchildren for the day, which they absolutely loved...going in the fields with the sheep and then walking across the field to where the river is, so that they could skim stones.
They also went to feed the cows and then go to feed the sheep...and whilst with the sheep, watched a Ewe give birth to triplets...and then got to hold and bottle feed those newborn lambs.
It was definitely an experience and happy memory they'll never forget...they were so excited.
Ingleton itself, is a lovely village with a small selection of eateries and dog friendly pubs. It's a great base for those that like walking/hiking. And it's also surrounded by other great locations, villages and towns for example...The Lakes, Kirkby Lonsdale, Hawes and Skipton.
Overall, we had the perfect stay...and as somebody with mobility issues, it met all of my needs. We will definitely be booking a return visit/stay and would highly recommend this accommodation.
