Unfortunately I had a disappointing experience during my visit. The worker was quite rude, didn’t greet me, and ignored me when I came to pick something up. Instead, they were busy talking with another worker and didn’t acknowledge my presence. I felt disrespected and overlooked. I hope this feedback helps improve customer service in the future.

I recently purchased a card machine three days ago, and it turned out to be faulty. When I visited the customer service desk to request a refund, I was met with incredibly rude behavior from the staff.

The lady at the desk immediately showed impatience, asking why I needed to return the item. When I tried to explain and show her the fault, she seemed uninterested and made me feel like I was asking for something unreasonable. She didn't even ask for my receipt or my purchase date initially.

I had already spoken to the online customer service, who advised me to visit the store. I requested the lady to check the notes from my online interaction, but she ignored me and suggested contacting the supplier myself. Eventually, after a lot of back and forth, she finally asked for my receipt and realized that I was within the seven-day return period, which allows for a free return.

This experience was unnecessarily frustrating due to her poor attitude and unhelpfulness. It wasted a lot of my time, and I felt disrespected throughout the process.

Absolutely shocking customer service from Argos Blackburn, raised a PayPal claim for a monitor that was damaged upon opening the box. Spoke to live chat and they said bring into store and they will exchange. Being Bank holiday I brought in today and the staff initially were willing to swap and went to check stock for an exchange.
The manageress then came storming over and proceeded to unbox the item again. Claiming that I had clearly hit the screen and damaged if myself and just wanted a refund. I said that I had spoken already to Argos and sent pictures and they were happy for an indoor exchange. She was having non of it and said that she can over rule online customer services. This exchange was in front of a few customers and was very embarrassing. She haphazardly put the screen back in the box and said I would have to take it up with the manufacturer as it isn't possible to have been damaged before I received it. I asked what makes her so sure and she said she's never known it to have happened.
Forward to another conversation with online customer service ( see image ) and they assure me that she should have exchanged no quibble. Again I showed this to staff and they said that once a manager has made a decision they won't back down and that I was trying to pull the wool over there eyes. Shocking behaviour from all staff involved and I would advise people to shop elsewhere where possible unless it's too good of a deal to miss - or pay via credit card and chargeback!
I won't be using Argos for any electricals in the future

Manager is ignorant of distance selling laws. He’s also arrogant and rude. When I called Argos customer services they confirmed I was in the right in respect the distance selling laws - you can open and you can use the products to see if they are suitable. In fact as a consumer you don’t even have to provide a reason. I arranged for Argos to collect instead and I informed him. He didn’t even have the common decency to apologise. He just stood there with a confused look on his face like a zoo animal. The worst customer service ever from this manager. When I read out the law regarding distance selling he shrugged his shoulders like moody teenager. Argos customer service have passed on my concerns for a store manager who doesn’t understand the distance selling laws. I’ve also raised a separate complaint with Sainsbury’s customer service. Having someone like that representing your brand is bad for business. Particularly in a store manager position. What a pathetic individual.
