Had a delicious large salad here, as an early lunch... was delicious, and was truly a large plate. Good value for money, and the ambience is pretty good. They have a large selection of items on the menu, and decent coffee and drinks too. All served quickly, with polite and friendly staff... what's not to like!

This is a great location for lunch, and it is quite popular, so if you don’t like queues, like myself, come here closer to 2pm. I liked very much their toasted sandwiches and ciabattas, and their soups were great too. You can even get a sandwich with Polish sausage, which is very tasty and completely unknown for the greatest majority of Brits.

Great food, great staff. I meet regularly with friends for a tea/coffee and cake and catch up. Lunch is also very reasonable and slightly larger portions.
My children love going here as well for the cakes!

Still a really great cafe, we've been regulars for over 15 years. Good food fast service. Queue up, order, pay and find a seat. Food will be with you almost as soon as you sit down
Good for a range of sandwiches and jacket potatoes plus cakes. They do breakfasts until 1130am. Now do a portion of fries too.

3 of us walked in and sat down to be ignored by both the lady behind the till and the waiter, a simple good morning wouldnt go amiss. We had to find the menus ourselves as they wasn't on the tables.

Tried to order breakfast with the rude lady behind the till, wanted to swap the black pudding for an egg and got told that they could cook the breakfast without the black pudding but would charge for the egg as "they dont do that kind of thing here". Decided to leave during ordering as the lady was both rude and condescending, no wonder the cafe was empty.

Reading previous reviews, it looks as though we had dodged a bullet.

We found stories cafe a 2 minute walk away that had much better service and done a tasty breakfast.

I look forward to the owners rude reply to this review.

Fab cafe. Excellent menu, amazingly quick service and lovely food.
Really busy (dammit) and the coffee is awesome. Prices are very reasonable. It's my little secret.
