Awful service. The elderly man made me wait whilst unpacking stock, was curt with me and then refused to initial my Royal Mail certificate of posting, telling me to take my package to the Post Office instead... I rarely write reviews but his condescending unfriendliness is uncalled for in what is otherwise a predominantly friendly village environment...

Bought a twix, 4 days away from being out of date. When do you ever see a chocolate bar in a shop with only a few days left before it’s out of date? The twix was stale. The toffee bit had gone rock hard and I almost broke a tooth on it. That’s what made me check. The gut working there was really rude , he was counting money and didn’t even respond to me. Probably too busy counting money he has made by getting knock off chocolate. Charged me the modern day price. 89p for a small twix which was clearly very old and should have been sold for 0.75p. Be a better person and get new chocolate ! Disgrace

We have moved out of the area to West Sussex now, but frequently visit Kala's and my husband still works local enough to the shop that we will still use Kala's when we are in the area.

Its a shame that the negative reviews for this lovely little shop all pertain to the parcel services that Kala's provide, which is pretty much all of the big couriers. Personally, I've only ever received excellent service from the shop - they have a huge range of food and beverages, including tiktok faves that my kids love to visit for. When a parcel service provider has been down and out of action, they always do their best to help, and I even see staff helping customers with their printing label service most of the time I visit. I think some of the reviewers might need a thicker skin...

Lovely little shop with a great selection! Also use it often for parcel drop off and pick up. Is the older gentleman is a character and I wouldn't change him! People are offended too easily.

This was the first time I had collected a parcel from this store and I was shocked at the lack of customer service & dismissal by the shop keeper. The man behind the counter only said one sentence to me which was "bring ID next time." This was after he had shoved my parcel at me across the counter & had scanned my QR code, which was sent to me in my email & said nothing about ID. I hope I don't have to return for anything else as his attitude certainly did not inspire me to buy anything in his shop, which is a shame as I like to support local business.

Thoroughly incompetent and extremely rude management.
I visited Kala's Convenience to find out why an item I dropped of with them to be delivered had not been passed on to the courier. The very nice woman simply repeated 'I don't know' over and over again when presented with evidence of Kala’s mistake. Then referred the matter to an extremely rude man who failed to take any responsibility and repeated 'No!', 'No!', 'No!'. Fortunately, there are many other drop of locations in the area and a supermarket across the road that sells everything Kala does at half the price.

Wholeheartedly agree with last review about this store. The older gentleman who I believe is Kalas, is so rude. He's been rude to me before when returning parcels and I haven't questioned his behaviour, today he was rude again and I did ask him not to be rude to me, he said he wasn't being rude, I insisted that saying 'don't stick that on' in
a very blunt tone and pushing a parcel back to me and flailing his hands at me, then when told he is rude, refusing to take the parce - is extremely rude. Needless to say I will tell Yodel, but I am sure they won't care, I of course, despite being a resident of the area for 33 years, will not enter this store again, if you want a friendly interaction with a local business, definitely don't go here!

Echoing the other reviews about rude staff at this shop. I’ve visited twice for parcel pick up and drop off and both times the man behind the counter was rude to me and chucked my parcels around. Have given 2 stars purely because the postal service works, but don’t expect any customer service at all
